I expect an OF to be added (to Yanks) soon - along with a reliever.  Starter?  Anyone's guess.

That would be "another OF," since they already added the immortal Tim Locastro to their line up. Sure, he's only managed to get into 9 games prior to the injury, but he was hitting a robust .190!

(Not that Danny Santana, Frenchy Cordero, Marwin Gonzalez, or Bobby Dalbach are going to send shivers of fear down the backs of many opposing pitchers... We'll see whether Mr. Duran's tenure is more productive than that. There does seem to be a paucity of competent hitters who also play outfield, at the moment.)

Technically, named in honor of the locally iconic Gaurdians of Traffic statutes that mark the entrances to the Hope Memorial Bridge. They could have done worse.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Its not bad. i was hoping for Spiders/Spyders.

The ball logo reminds me of the promo for Major League, while the new name, according to boz, honors a stop sign, seems to demand tie ins with Guardian of the Galaxy franchise.

I was pushing for the Cleveland Fire, in honor of the river.

Actually, I think they went with Gaurdians because it was cheaper, since they are keeping the font. Just paint over or unstitch the "In", add "Guar". No reason to go to the expense of new uniforms and logos!

It works, and as you note a couple of snips and a patch, you're good to (wait for it)

seems the Rays slipped past the proud Centurions of the Cuyahoga.

Real nice emergency relief work by Valdez to hold the line, and Devers with a pair of bombs.

that was a good win
