Saw Fac mentioned the hot water around the Florida Keys last week.

It ain't the heat... it's the major changes in lifestyle...

Maybe Kundera would not have written The ULoB.  The world would be too hot for window washers.

Mr. Hoover was an engineer. He knew that water trickles down... But he didnt know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellows hands.

Administrator:  Nor able to post attachments lately.  Any technical problems?

Your attachment is being posted, but now I can't view it without downloading the jpeg.  I think someone tinkered with Elba lately.  The plus side was it started letting me post and quote words with apostrophes.

edit:  Ok, it downloaded the jpeg but can't open it to view.   Booo is right.  Can you link your sketch page, we could click a URL?

I was in Kiwanis for a couple of years, and I loved how we made a difference in our community. I fully support Kiwanis International.

And Kiwanis International can help in Kentucky, and in Mexico, and in Tennessee, and everywhere.

https://www.louisvillekiwanis.org/

Kiwanis can help the poor and the refugees in Mexico and can help to support them as they grow food, and drive trucks, and work at the ports, etc. Then, Kiwanis can invite in stores such as the Northgate Mexican Market into the poor parts of Kentucky, etc, and can truck in goods from Mexico for the store shelves for the poor people. Kiwanis can set it all up and they can organize the aid for Kentucky, they can get Marten Trucking, and the Northgate Market, etc, to all work together, and it needs to all become self sustaining.

Then, as mentioned in Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs, as the need for food and shelter are met in Kentucky, then schools and libraries can be built, and the people can learn to solve problems, and they can become doctors, and scientists, and teachers, etc, and they can create, etc, they can rise to the highest levels of actualization.

Salute,

Tony V.

You can tell she does by the issues she is taking up. No one joins that cult at that point in their life without intending to drink the blood of innocents. That is why you should never give bibles to people who will not even read their way through the constitution.

She has fought to give choices to Georgia families trapped in failing public schools, and we welcome her to our team to continue fighting for educational opportunities for all of Georgias children.

Irony escapes the quoted one, apparently.  Would not fixing failing public schools be the way to fight for educational opportunities for all children?  And 6500 is not going to cover a years tuition at many private schools.

According to the United Nations there are 3.3 billion people living in poor nations where they spend more money for interest on debt instead of on education and healthcare.

The poor nations need to go into the Banking Business and then they can pay interest to themselves, they can own the Bank that they borrow from and they can pay interest to themselves.

In the United States there was Alexander Hamilton who opened the Bank of New York immediately after the USA formed so that the USA could borrow from the Bank of New York and so that the USA could get in debt to its own bank instead of getting in debt to a foreign bank. ( The Bank of New York is America's Bank, and it is also the official Bank of the nation of Israel. When I was a cook at a casino in Battle Mountain, Nevada, we had a waitress who her Mom was the Vice President of the Bank of New York. Battle Mountain is the Gold capital of the world and Gold is important to banks. Of note, the Bank of New York  was the first company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. )

Colombia can have the Bank of Bogota to borrow from, etc. And if the banks are locally owned then the nations can tax the banks on their profits and the money from the taxes that the banks pay can go to education and to healthcare, etc.

And also Bono from U2 and President George W. Bush worked to reduce the debt of many poor nations, the wealthy nations can help and teach the poor nations.

Her point is the public schools continue to be low priority for democrats who have sold their souls to the big city teacher unions.
And $6500 will be a big boost in income for non public schools, especially K to JuniorHis, with lower teacher Pay scales.

SAG just decided to go on strike. The Entertainment Industry has changed, and it is not the same as it was back in the old days with Carl Laemmle, etc, etc, etc, and then with Lucy and Desi as bosses in Hollywood, and other Local people, the Bosses of the Movie Studios used to live and work here, and the Bosses were altruistic and they made sure that the people were well taken care of. But, now the studios are owned by heartless foreign corporations that only care about profits and which do not care about the quality of the lives of the workers and the quality of the communities where they operate. The heartless corporations only care about money, and they do not care about the workers, so we need Unions to force the corporations to be altruistic and to treat the workers well.

Go look at the neighborhood around Paramount Studios, it is a horrible neighborhood with bars on the windows, etc, and  trash all over, it is a slum, Paramount is not contributing in a healthy way to the community. They only care about money and not about the community where they do business. Paramount needs to love and nurture their neighborhood and they need the input from people who live in the local area here in California where the Movie Studio is. And Paramount needs to hire local people to work at Paramount, and local kids from the community can be taught about film and they can go to film school, etc. And Burbank is bad now, and Hollywood is bad, it is because heartless corporations are in charge instead of having good loving Christians from the local community in charge. If locals were in charge then everything would be better, but with the foreign corporations then the only way to deal with them is with Unions and with Strikes.

Salute,

Tony V.

People who underpay under qualified teachers to under educate and miseducate children would pocket a windfall. It is not a surprise they are the same people who want to abolish the department of education at the federal level. No crook likes having a cop on the beat to make their scamming children and parents more risky.

President Meloni of Italy wants to give the South of Italy their own Special Economic Zone within the European Union so that the North of Italy can advance their economy at a faster pace without being slowed by the South. That is HORRIBLE logic, and Italy must remain UNITED all as one nation. The South has wine, olives, limoncello, seafood, etc, and tourism, etc. Italy must remain united.

In the United States we are all UNITED and equal. We do not have a Special Economic Zone for Mississippi because they are different than California; all states in the United States are UNITED and EQUAL. And that is how Italy must be, Italy must be UNITED and EQUAL.

And the European Union needs to be united and strong, and England needs to re-join the European Union, to promote peace and cooperation in Europe as well as to advance world trade with big nations like China, India, and with the USA. Along with the fact that Europe has to be strong against outside forces such as Russia, the European Union is wise for many reasons and Europe must be united and strong.

Salute,

Tony V.

Bambu, you can learn a lot from Shakespeare, including from "Othello" by Shakespeare. I recommend the movie that was made by Orson Welles as the cinematography is fantastic. In "Othello" a bad man named Iago whispers lies into people's ears to sow discord, and what was once a fairy tale life for Othello and Desdemona turns into a tragedy all because of Iago.

People do that in real life too, they break people up into groups and then they sow discord and the groups destroy themselves with unnecessary fighting among themselves. When we work together then we are strong, and no one can defeat us, but if we let people divide us up into groups and then fight the groups among themselves then we will destroy ourselves. The enemies of America can simply divide us up and then spread discord until America destroys itself. Just like in "Othello."

And we are the richest nation in the world and our streets are full of homeless people and we have a crisis in the USA right now, but our Unions are all fighting to help our workers. We have Unions, and we have Labor Laws to protect our workers. So, if we work together then we can all win, but if we fight among ourselves and if we destroy ourselves then we are foolish like Othello was.

Salute,

Tony V.
