Infuriating!

Meanwhile too many people are saying George Floyd was not murdered by police but instead died from a drug overdose which is bullshit.

2/3 of the population polled is opposed to Santa Joe's incredibly liberal immigration policy. The mayors of two of the largest sanctuary cities have cried out about the impossible financial burdens they have incurred. What inflation, what housing shortage he asks?

The sanctuary cities should send the fucking bill to governors Abbott and DeSantis. Eric Adams is an asshole.

It's cute that somebody who has never actually set foot in America and "knows" what he does from YouTube (as well as reports on the ground from his kindred spirit reactionaries) feels that he knows what constitutes the "fabric of America."
The fabric of America under Joe Biden at restaurants:

Less Filling, Costs More
But fortunately thanks to the booming economy, plentiful jobs, economic growth and rising wages that have made Biden's post-COVID American economy the envy of the world, we can still afford to dine out!

Additions for the sake of accuracy.
Fabric of America
Less Filling. More Costly. Jobs. Growth. Prosperity.
Less Filling Cosst More!

Corporate profits drove 53% of inflation during the second and third quarters of 2023 and more than one-third since the start of the pandemic, the report found, analyzing Commerce Department data. That is amassive jump from the four decades prior to the pandemic, when profits drove just 11% of price growth.

One fun thing about Juneteenth is all the folks who fought against Affirmative Action and DEI are getting the day off.

My Grandmother carried a pearl handled .32 semi automatic pistol in her purse, and we were all safer because Grandma had a gun in her purse.

Lots of women carry guns in their purses. I worked with a wealthy former movie star at the Colt Casino in Battle Mountain, Nevada, Mitzy, she cooked because she liked to cook and not because she needed the money, she was already rich, and she carried a gun in her purse.

I support women being able to carry guns in their purses, etc.

And our schools need to all have armed security, and the 7-Elevens all need security now, and the clubs all need security. Even the grocery stores have armed security now.

Also, the shelters are full of big dogs that need homes, and a couple of big dogs will protect your property, the junk yards all have a couple of guard dogs, etc.

Anyhow, I support the women being able to carry guns in their purses, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

No monster dogs for me.

My doggo just passed on at the age of 15. She was part cocker spaniel, part King Charles Cavalier. She was a beautiful and sweet little buddy. Let someone come near my porch or back fence at night and she would make a short little yip. Hang around too long and she would go into alert mode and made sure everyone inside and outside knew she was on the job.

Any Israel/Palestine two state solution with Hamas anywhere near it would be doomed to failure.

You do not think the Palestinians are tired of Hamas bringing down destruction, starvation and death on them?

Netanyahu and Hamas are in a deadly symbiotic relationship. As long as 5he war continues both have relevance.

Nice of you to provide a functioning link for your reference. Oh wait. You did not.

Three days ago I said Trump knew SCOTUS would get the decision and Thomas proceeded to twist himself into
looop de loops to justify this nonsense along with Amen corner nodding their heads like grinning cretins.
The only twisting done was by Trump when he forced an administrative  change he had no power to do and also went against the textual language in the original statuue.
And Biden then defended Trump s mistake.

Two EDSELS
WE deserve better.

I keep pointing out and you keep ignoring Trump made no mistake. After Vegas he had to Do Something so he did knowing full well it would go to the SCOTUS with two conservatives seats stolen for him by Mitch McConnell.

EDSELS?

One Lincoln Town Car limousine and one 1967 Corvette. I will take the sports car with the old dude behind the wheel. Both of these men are old but Trump is a demented sociopath and convicted felon.

We deserve better.

It is what it is.

To quote Donald Rumsfeld, You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.

Today, the Court puts bump stocks back in civilian hands. To do so, it casts aside Congresss definition of machinegun and seizes upon one that is inconsistent with the ordinary meaning of the statutory text and unsupported by context or purpose.

Justice Sotomayor calls Bullshit in her dissent.

Wrong.
Guns that fire multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger are automatic weapons and not sold to the public
Bump stocks require multiple pulls of the trigger making it a semiautomatic weapon as defined multiple times by the ATF.
Now SCOTUS has weighed in with the same opinion.
The ball is now in Congress hands where it should be.
FTR. Over a half million Americans own bump stocks per the ATF.

Nope. A standard AR-15 semiautomatic rifle loaded with .223/5.56mm can fire up to 45 rounds per minute.

it can only fire one round per trigger pull.
Quote
Bump stocks are conversion devices for semi-automatic AR type weapons that effectively harness the guns recoil to increase its rate of fire to up to 800 rounds per minute. Bump stocks were designed to mimic automatic gunfire while evading the laws that ban machine guns.
Machine Guns fire multiple rounds  with one trigger pull. They are illegal.
The ATF has declared numerous times that bump stocks do not turn semi automatic rifles into illegal automatic weapons.
SCOTUS confirmed.
Both Biden AND Trump were wrong on the issue

Nah.

On December 18, 2018 the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), stated bump stocks fall within the definition of machinegun under federal law, as such devices allow a shooter of a semiautomatic firearm to initiate a continuous firing cycle with a single pull of the trigger.

The final rule clarifies that the definition of  machinegun in the Gun Control Act (GCA) and National Firearms Act (NFA) includes bump-stock-type devices, i.e., devices that allow a semiautomatic firearm to shoot more than one shot with a single pull of the trigger by harnessing the recoil energy of the semiautomatic firearm to which it is affixed so that the trigger resets and continues firing without additional physical manipulation of the trigger by the shooter.
That final rule was ordered by Trump which was defended by Biden but successively challenged and overturned by SCOTUS.

Overturned through pretzel logic by the guy who sees no reason to disclose multi millions of dollar gifts in spite of the rules that require such. The guy who benefited from affirmative action in order to climb the ladder to success then pulled said ladder up behind him.

Fuck Clarence Thomas and his self loathing pathologies.
HE AND 5 Others Who also had ATF history saying the same thing.
You think Trump was right?
I do not.

Again, another case that you do not understand.
I understand it fully.
I read the decision.
You did not bother.

It was a sucker bet.

Trump and the NRA knew they would end up kicking this to SCOTUS.

Trump was faced with an unpalatable choice: do nothing and alienate mainstream voters or push Congress to legislate a ban, which would infuriate some gun-rights voters in the GOPs base and highlight divisions within his own party.

Trump found a third option that lowered the temperature on the gun-control debate in the short term - robbing momentum from congressional efforts to ban bump stocks - and kicked the issue to a conservative-leaning Supreme Court.

Taking a cue from the National Rifle Association, Trump used his executive authority to write a Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives regulation banning bump stocks

It only requires one trigger pull and sustained pressure on the trigger.

If a rifle firs rounds at the equivalent rate of fire as an automatic weapon, IT IS A FUCKING MACH8NE GUN.

And Clarence Thomas and the concurring justices are assholes.

Justifying them is an exercise of the same logic once argued in here to claim Mitch McConnell was following the Biden Rule to justify blocking the Obama SCOTUS.nomination yet then trashing that rationale for the ACN seat.

Analysis of how both Likud and Hamas want a state of perpetual war.

Wanna be tough guys who cannot do their actual jobs, the type who will happily kill to get or keep power, make up the backbone of any conservative movement in every culture.

I must be missing something, because I just cannot understand how protesters in Israel think they'll be better off in the long term or short term by surrendering to Hamas terrorists, capitulating to their ceasefire/peace deal, and basically giving up.

Yeah, you are missing something.
