Houthis Warn To Turn Red Sea Into 'Graveyard' Over U.S.-led Naval Task Force; Attack Another Ship
Todaus top stories:.Cowardly Man Wets Self Over Grandiose Threat, Demands Nukes. Man Dog Confrontation Results in Mild Discomfort. But first, in today's weather, the sky's current blue condition is.expected to last through the New Year.

Just to be clear as you make light of the drone attacks.
U S Dense Secretary Austin says the missile attacks pose the most significant threat to global shipping in decades, and they will continue unless a global coalition unites to stop them.

10% of global trade moves through the Red Sea and already BP,and other firms, have stopped sending ships through the Red Sea because of the Houthi attacks.

Worse, the Houstis in Yemen are agents of Iran who is delighting in challenging Biden for his defense of Israel during an election  cycle.

I am surprised you are not more informed.

Write to your representatives. Republicans went home showing far more incompetence than patriotism and failing to address any of the national priorities before slinking off without doing their jobs.

You point out one more way republicans are a dangerous menace not only to the American way of life but to the prosperity of the entire civilized world.

Australia needs to invest in their Peace Corps, like the USA, and we need to all work together to promote peace in the world. We can have projects which provide food and water to the desperate, etc. And we can deal with problems when they are small, to prevent the big problems from happening.

Poverty is the father of revolution and crime, so we need to have projects in poor areas to teach them how to farm and grow food, and they can build acquaducts for water, etc.

And Mexico is building lots of new dams and acquaducts and high speed trains and new airports, etc, lots of great stuff is happening in Mexico.

Colombia is gaining traction from Coffee, with money going to education, etc.

Our Peace Corps can teach people how to read and write, and we can donate libraries, etc. And we can teach people how to farm, and how to make cheese, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency

Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing heavy fighting in Sudan's Al Jazirah State and Darfur region. Since the outbreak of the war in April, more than 7M people have fled their homes. UNHCR continues to urge all parties to end the conflict: https://bit.ly/3NxXmA0

------------

7 Million people fled their homes in the Darfur region.

We need to have the Peace Corps to prevent these problems before they happen.

And we need to teach them how to farm and how to grow food, etc. Even Prickly Pear Cactus with scrambled eggs and tortillas and salsa, like the Mexicans eat.

We have the Peace Corps, and we have Kiwanis International, and we have UNICEF, and others, we need to teach people how to farm, and we need to teach people how to read and write and we need to donate libraries, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

The court stayed its decision until Jan. 4, or until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the case. Colorado officials say the issue must be settled by Jan. 5, the deadline for the state to print its presidential primary ballots.  (AP)

Am sure Team Nikki is following this with some interest.  If Colorado is affirmed, other states will follow, some of them key to any Trump EC victory.

Always share your ideas with people, and it may help people.

I met a scientist on the train who had the same degree that I have, he went to community college and he got his Associate in Arts Degree, and then he went to work as a research scientist, and he kept sending his ideas to people, and he became very successful, now he is rich and he lives on the Beach in a beautiful home with his beautiful wife, and he works as a research scientist for the University of California in Irvine. I rode the train with the scientist for 100 miles, and we talked the whole time, and he told me to keep sharing my ideas with people. Even just writing it on paper with a pen and mailing ideas to people, the main thing is to keep the ideas flowing to other people. Whenever I have a good idea then I try to share it.

And there are different ways of sharing ideas; poetry, movies, television shows, etc, are all ways of sharing ideas. And I attended the AADA after community college, and I worked for 1 year at Universal, etc, I learned a lot. The secret is to always keep the ideas flowing.

Salute,

Tony V.

Will Australia be sending a warship to the Red Sea as requested by the US?
No.
Why not?
Well, we just discovered, via Sky News, that Australia only has three...count them...1,2,3 ...modern warships , but said warships "would be vulnerable to destruction in the Red Sea if attacked by drones and missiles in numbers". -'Sky News contributor'.
What the fuck do you idiots think a warship is FOR? If you are not willing to risk it you do not have a warship you have a large, uncomfortable yacht.

That's the problem with Australia, ...too peace-loving, too humanitarian, too nuclear non-proliferation, too climate change emergency, too trusting.
Now, it's awoken from its "she'll be right, mate" slumber of fantasy dreams to discover that "she's far from right", in fact things are very wrong.

The rush to 'renewables now' and stoopid govt policies because of it are sending businesses, people, and the country broke...not to mention the ruination of farmers and the landscape on land and sea.

Countries it perceived as friendly have turned out to be anything but.

It can't defend itself...no nukes.

It too, like Britain, was warned, ..but the "basket weavers", "tree huggers", "everyone in the world is a lovely person" crowd, thought they knew better.
Oh well, such is life.

The Red Sea is basically a shooting gallery now.
Any ship going there is a sitting duck.
Any warship going there is sailing right into a WW2 style war.

No, we have the United Nations, and the Saudis have F-16 Fighting Falcons that we sold to them, and the Saudis want peace and business, they are into Golf now, etc.

Egypt wants to sell us cotton, and they want the tourists.

Europe can benefit by helping to keep the peace in the Red Sea.

And we need to send lots of priests and nuns and school teachers into the poorest areas, and we need to fully fund the charity groups such as Kiwanis. And we need to send more money to the Peace Corps, etc.

And we have UNICEF to help the children, we need to make sure that all of the children learn how to read and write.

We can have peace, but we need to make peace happen. And Mexico is going to be wonderful, lots of great stuff is happening in Mexico, we are not going to let the drug cartels ruin Mexico. The same with Colombia, we need schools, etc, and honest trade and tourism, etc. And Costa Rica is nice, it can all be nice like Costa Rica.

We can have peace. There is too much war in the world, the world needs wise old leaders who want peace and prosperity.

Salute,

On January 10, 2024, the Government of Brazil (GOB) will reinstate a visa requirement for all U.S. nationals visiting Brazil, with an option for an e-visa for qualified applicants. Please share this information with family, friends, and colleagues who are planning to visit. Dec 13, 2023

-----------

It is getting harder to travel. There are issues now with people who owe money on child support being able to travel, and also convicted criminals may have problems traveling, etc. And Brazil might keep gangster rappers out of Brazil, etc. It is interesting that Brazil wants to vet American travelers now.

I can still go to France, and Italy, without getting a visa in advance, I can just show up and spend 3 months in Rome without any forms, just with my Passport, and I can go to the Cannes Film Festival, etc. I want to go spend some time in Paris too.

I think we should send a diplomat to Brazil to try to work to prevent the requirement of a visa to travel to Brazil, I prefer freedom.

Salute,
