Whos land should he seize, Tony?

If you say golf courses and church property, I am all for it.

We can do a petition to make it a referendum decided by direct democracy.

Golf courses have a right to exist...as do churches.
Golf courses create employment for an *untold* number of people.

There are 303,263 people employed in the Golf Courses & Country Clubs industry in the US as of 2022.
The average Golf Courses & Country Clubs business in the US has 28.9 employees.
The golf industry says "There are almost 2 million jobs created by the golf industry. This includes the corollary industries of food-service, administration and retail sales in golfing communities."

It is no longer untold.

And no, there is no "Right to have golf courses."

We have plenty of cheap land in Battle Mountain, Nevada, and we have plenty of room for Golf Courses.

In California City, California, they have a great Golf Course, and that is a great town to have a retirement village at, with a Golf Course, bookstores, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc, etc, etc. The people 55 and over who are homeless in Los Angeles should be welcome to live in a retirement village in California City and they need to build apartments like crazy there, it is the perfect spot for the older people who are on the streets homeless.

Salute,

Of note, Battle Mountain, Nevada, has a nice 9 hole Golf Course, it is closed part of the year because of snow and cold weather, but it is a nice Golf Course.

http://www.battlemountaingolf.com/

We can build new Santorini, Greece, style apartment complexes with swimming pools, tennis courts, libraries, and Battle Mountain also has a Golf Course. And they can make money by doing trade with San Francisco.

And land is only $1,000 per acre in Battle Mountain, Nevada, and they have zero crime. It is a good safe spot for our new immigrants and for our homeless people and for our refugees, etc.

Corruption, dark money, attack ads on public officials who investigate fraud and rate gouging, fake candidates to throw elections...just a few tricks from utility companies.

I go to Cal City periodically. I like you, Tony so I really hope you do not have to retire there.

I wish that only on Red and Kid, and I am sure that each in their own special way they have found that environment in a different location. If they have not found it, they are certainly making it where they are.

Golfers can play nine holes twice, opening up close to half their real estate. Churches can pay their fucking taxes. If that means selling land to the government to stay in business, God bless.

Compared to sleeping on the sidewalk, California City would be a good place for the retired people 55 and over who are currently sleeping on the sidewalk.

And they can plant more trees there, and they can do things to make it nicer.

And with solar power it is cheap to cool the apartments in the heat of summer. And they can have swimming pools, etc.

Also, they can party at night, like they do in Palm Springs in the heat of summer, and in Vegas.

California City has the potential to be a great retirement village for the homeless people 55 and over who are currently on the streets of Los Angeles.

And people have to have the vision of what things can be like with some work from Habitat For Humanity, and HUD, and other groups working together to get the homeless people into nice, safe housing.

80% of the homeless adults 55 and over are men.

https://www.lahsa.org/news?article=806-2020-los-angeles-homeless-count-older-adult-homelessness

And I am sure they would be happy to live in California City and to play Golf and they can bowl at the bowling alley and they can drink beer.

People can come to California City who have big ideas on how nice California City can be for a retirement village for the homeless adults 55 and over. Kiwanis can help, and other groups can help.

And some of the younger people can go to Battle Mountain, Nevada, and they can have communes, etc, and they can do trade with San Francisco. And Battle Mountain has schools for the kids, and there is a college in Elko. The schools in Battle Mountain are good schools.

Could you imagine if you lived in a retirement village and 80% of the people there were men, with only 20% women? That would suck, we need to fix it, we can allow in immigrants and we can bus up the women immigrants to live in California City with the men who had formerly been homeless. They used to do that in New Orleans, they brought ships full of women to New Orleans so that there would be lots of women in New Orleans.

In Nevada they have legal prostitution because of a shortage of women in the West, it was all men and very few women in the West. Battle Mountain has a bordello named "The Calico Club" and they mostly cater to the Gold miners and also they are there for the truck drivers, etc. If California City was 80% men, then they would need a bordello like Battle Mountain.

As we get the homeless people into housing there are many factors to consider, but California City seems like a good spot for the homeless men 55 and over, and we can bring up female immigrants from Mexico so the men can have women living there with them.

And the young people and the families with children can get the cheap land in Battle Mountain, Nevada, and people can build custom, fantastic housing, and they can do trade with San Francisco. Battle Mountain will always be a successful town because they have Gold there.

California City is a planned community, they planned for the city to be huge.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/realestate/california-city-the-gigantic-master-planned-community-that-never-really-grew-up-bartells-backroads/ar-AAXfFXo

California City is meant to be huge, and there is certainly room for a wonderful retirement village for the homeless of Los Angeles who are 55 and over, and great people and great groups can be brought to California City to design and build and contribute towards housing for the homeless people who are 55 and older.

Seems out of touch with the real life situations many women find themselves in when pregnant.  Somewhere over 90% of abortions happen before 12 weeks, do not harm a sentient being, and spare a woman who is not ready to birth a child and handle all that goes with in missed work, potential health threats, medical bills, postpartum issues, etc.
Why does the far Right keep deferring to men as somehow authoritative on women's bodies and medical decisions?

Jim says he's also willing to take on any post-partum depression or complications.

They told the story of Vera from the Channel 5 News in Los Angeles this morning, she was my Uncle Dennis' favorite weather woman, and she lived an inspirational life.

Her Mother was an immigrant, and she had 6 kids, and they lived in Garden Grove, California. Vera's Dad died when she was 3 years old, and Vera was raised by a poor immigrant Mother who was a widow with 6 kids. They were poor and Vera's Mom made her dresses to wear, her Mom made her own clothes. Vera learned English from playing with her neighbors. Vera attended Santa Ana Community College and that was what led her to her current job as a weather woman for the Channel 5 News. Her Mother still lives in Garden Grove. The Santa Ana Community College is giving her an award, and she is so proud. She has had quite a life, and she is living the American Dream.

I lived in Garden Grove right by where Vera grew up, and Garden Grove is nice, it is a good area. And we have some great community colleges, I attended the community college in the Antelope Valley before I went to acting school, and the community college was fantastic. Vera said that an award from the community college was like an Oscar for Vera, Santa Ana Community College helped her on the path to a good life.

Vera has done great. A lot of people have hard lives and go on to do great things, the secret is not to sit around and dwell on how poor you are or how bad your life is, instead of feeling sorry for herself, Vera went to community college and is doing great things.

Salute,

Tony V.

P.S. - Of note on community colleges, Fullerton Community College is training people for jobs at Disney now, people can go get their AA degree and then they can go right to work for Disney. Our community colleges are great places. ( Cal State Fullerton is also working together with Disney if people want to get a 4 year degree and then go to work for Disney. )

I have had some great roommates in my life, God has blessed me to have lived with some cool people.

When I lived in Garden Grove, before I went to Italy, I had a roommate who had an uncle who was the Mayor of a city in Thailand. She was very generous and she was always buying everyone food. She wanted me to move to Thailand, she said that I could buy a house cheap in Thailand, and she said that I could have cheap helpers for my household, she said workers are very cheap in Thailand and she said that I could have a housekeeper, and a cook, and a gardener, etc, very cheap, household workers are very cheap in Thailand. She was a cool roommate, and she can live anywhere in the world and she picked California. She loves California.
