I do not know how people can afford to pay the high rent here in California, and we have beautiful houses all over and I do not know how people can afford to buy the houses.
We used to have good paying film and television studio jobs, but those have been going to Canada, and now to Georgia, and to other places. While we still have some great studio jobs it is certainly not like it was during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
A lot of people are making money from Real Estate, and they are the reason for the high prices in Real Estate, many people are trying to get rich from Real Estate.
The lady who owns In N Out Burger is a billionaire, and she pays people $120,000 per year to manage an In N Out Burger, so those are good jobs.
Truckers who are in the Teamsters Union are making $100,000 per year now.
For the writers, I only met one guy who made his movie, he wrote "Amistad" and Spielberg made his movie, and he used the money that he earned to open 5 McDonald's restaurants in South Africa and he hired his family members to work at his restaurants. So that is the approximate value of a good movie script, 5 McDonald's restaurants in South Africa.
Everyone here in Anaheim is making money from Tourism, and Disneyland employs a lot of people. And there are good new programs to train people at Fullerton Community College and at Cal State Fullerton for jobs at Disney, they can go right to work when they graduate.
We also have USC film school, Chapman film school, and the AADA in Hollywood which is training actors.
The Mexicans here share housing, they live with many people in a small apartment. They all work for low wages, and they share housing. They work together as a team and they help each other.
And a lot of people are not making it, we have 60,000 homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles alone. California City is already designed to be a huge city, we need to build retirement housing for the homeless who are 55 and over in California City, the homeless who are able bodied can be hired to help to build the housing in California City. Homeboy Industries, and other groups, can also help to build retirement housing in California City, and Habitat For Humanity can help, etc.
General Motors used to have a plant in Van Nuys which created great jobs, but they moved the plant to Canada. We need to bring a new electric auto plant to Van Nuys, to bring the jobs back.
We also have aerospace and defense, and JPL, and NASA, etc, etc, etc, and China Lake, and Edwards, etc, and a lot of stuff is happening here, and a lot of top secret stuff is happening.
We also need for Amtrak to build a high speed train between Las Vegas and Anaheim, to connect Disneyland with Vegas. Vegas is booming right now, Vegas is doing great. People love Las Vegas. And Vegas is a good place for housing. It is easy to get a job at a casino.
