Bambu, it was great when I first moved into this apartment, and back then I was friends with Cheech Marin's Uncle Ted, Ted was from Ukraine, and he married Cheech's Aunt Maria. Ted helped me to move into this apartment. And my friend Lisa from the Philippines was rich, and she gave me a whole apartment full of furniture for free. Then, I became good friends with the manager who was from Mexico, and I became friends with the owner who was from Taiwan. Then, I hung out at the local Bodega and I ate tacos and I drank beer with my neighbors and I was able to become friends with my neighbors. And right after I moved in on a hot summer evening in 2006 I passed out a truck load of free ice cream to my whole neighborhood, a truck driver asked me if I wanted to pass out free ice cream to my neighbors and I was happy to do it, me and my Uncle Dennis went door to door passing out free ice cream to the whole neighborhood. Then, I threw a party here in my neighborhood with free mahi mahi tacos and a live band by the swimming pool, and the owner bought pizza for everyone.
Here is a video of my friend Jon's band at a mahi mahi taco party that we held here...
http://youtu.be/x4K7dnixw5IThen, I joined Kiwanis International and I became friends with all of the people at City Hall and with all of the local business owners, etc.
But, as time passes all of my friends are dying, and the people do not remember the good days, and many of the old neighbors moved and new people moved in.
And now a heartless corporation owns the apartment complex, which sucks. I loved to be friends with the owner of the complex, and with the manager, etc.
I have a lot of ideas for this neighborhood. A community theatre, a movie studio, a Barnes and Noble bookstore, etc. But, if they do not want me here anymore then maybe it is time to move. I loved living in Malibu, and also there is a condo highrise in Hollywood that is all full of stars, you can make movies with your neighbors, the name of the highrise is "Empire West."
I have been here since 2006 and it has been nice here. I have gotten along well with my neighbors, and I have been grateful for my apartment.
We also have good grocery stores, and nice parks, and good restaurants. Plus we have Disneyland.
Also, somewhere over by Angel Stadium we have the Chapman film school, and they can help me make my movie, and I can meet new people in the Entertainment Industry, and I can volunteer to act in student films, etc. I can also meet people who can help me to publish my poetry book.
I am friends with my neighbors who have been here for a long time. And I will go to the neighborhood meetings. If I am going to live here then I want to be a good part of my community and I want to go to the neighborhood meetings.
And if I want to move then I need money, so I need to publish my poetry book, and make my movie, and do some acting work, and more writing, etc. And I want to find a wife who wants to write and produce with me, that would be great.
I have thought about opening a night club in Rome, and making wine in Tuscany, and making movies at Cinecitta, and finding a beautiful Italian wife, but we will see, I went to Italy in 2003 and the time is flying by. But, I still have my passport, and I am ready to travel when I can. I would love to go open a night club in Rome, we will see what happens.
Salute,
Tony V.
