We are having problems with crime on our buses and trains, and along with hiring more security, then they can also let the Police and Fire Fighters and Military Members ride the trains and buses for free and then crime will go down.

When I worked at a casino in Battle Mountain, Nevada, the owner was too cheap to pay for security at the casino, so instead we gave free food and free coffee, etc, to the local Police Department, and the cops all hung out at our casino, we had zero crime because our casino was the hang out for the Police Department.

If Los Angeles allows the Police and Fire Fighters and Military Members to ride the trains and buses for free then crime will go down.

Salute,

'Dirty Harry' on every bus and train would be a big help.

You apparently assume that gay female sports participants meekly accept male to female transgenders and see no disadvantages in competition.

Cannot fathom where you got that from my post.  You seem unable to manage reading comprehension - which explains a lot of what I've been seeing here lately.  Good luck to you.

Did you know that Dirty Harry, like Rambo, is a fictional character?

I did, I do.
"Dirty Harry"...a gun toting cop willing to shoot bad guys...can easily be copied.
Would certainly deter people intent on crime.

In the realm of non-fiction, this country doesn't seem to lack for "gun toting cops willing to shoot...."

They are all too often found committing crimes.

I was sort of hoping this would prove to be an Onion story, cleverly disguised with a BBC url...

I am still unsure if I should have posted this in the Arts/comedy section.

The Los Angeles school district strike ended with help from Mayor Bass, the workers got an immediate $8,000 bonus to be deposited into their bank accounts immediately, plus they received a 33% raise. It pays to have unions, if it was not for the unions then they would still be living in poverty, now they get a bonus and a raise.

One of my favorite people in the Entertainment Industry is Sammy Hagar, he grew up locally here in Southern California, in Fontana, and my Mother has a cousin who owns a pharmacy in Fontana and he is probably friends with Sammy Hagar, Sammy probably has been to his pharmacy.

I met Sammy Hagar when I lived in Malibu. I was sleeping and I was awoken by the dogs barking, so I got up and got dressed and I went out to see why the dogs were barking and to make sure everything was cool, and when I walked out into the living room there was Sammy Hagar sitting there talking with the lady who owned the house, Peggy. Peggy was the ex-wife of Sammy Hagar's family doctor in Malibu, Jeff, and so Peggy was friends with Sammy Hagar. Peggy was friends with everyone in Malibu.

Sammy is a cool guy, and he loves Mexico, he would make a good Ambassador to Mexico and he could help to improve relations between the USA and Mexico.
