Not allowed to have guns, so I got us into a villa in a gated community with security night patrols...'crim safe' locks and metal screens on windows and doors.
The Village owns the villa, we own the money.

...but in my world you have a remote...and at the push of a button the gates open and you just walk or drive out.
You can stay out all night too, there's no roll call.

We have come a long way since the Pullman Railroad Strike of 1894. People used to work hard just to get deeper in debt, guys like Eugene V. Debs helped to make things better. And labor leaders like Jimmy Hoffa, and Cesar Chavez. Then we also had good Presidents like FDR. We have come a long way in the USA. Now we need to teach Mexico and Colombia and El Salvador and the Philippines, and others, what we learned.

I went through a dark period for a while where I felt worthless, I could not get a job, and I just felt like a bum, so I joined Kiwanis International, and I was able to meet the City Council and many local business owners, and I was able to meet the Chief of Police, etc, and we all worked to improve our community. The best way to pull out of depression is to join a charity group and get busy helping other people. Kiwanis International is global, and everyone is welcome to join. And right now there is a huge need for help because of the problems in Ukraine.

The writers are the smartest people in Show Business. Right now they cannot even afford a 2 Bedroom house in Burbank for the average writer.

There is a movie "The Last Tycoon" which warns the Producers not to mess with the Writers.

I'd be very, very careful from where I tried to exercise this freedom...and what exactly I did, said and wrote.
One can wind up dead or imprisoned for life.

Aussie Julian Assange was just shown in a video clip during the segment about this Day.
He was holding his Gold Medal. Then put it around his neck.

There are US politicians who wish to put Julian Assange in one of their chambers of death...walk him in alive, then wheel him out dead.
He should not have messed with US national security, US military classified docs/info....and put lives at risk...that was a very bad thing to do...he should've known better.
The People don't have the right to know everything.
No death chamber for Julian Assange...no death chamber for anyone. Prison sentences should be the only penalty.

The country doesn't need me, an elderly man with a bad heart and poor eyesight, in the armed forces...it needs nuclear weapons in the armed forces.

On the issue of making our trains safe, Metrolink needs to hire guards from Homeboy Industries, the guys from Homeboy need the jobs, and when I worked at The Broadway department store in Pasadena we used to hire former gang members to work security for us and they did a great job.

Good idea.
The 'knock em down, drag em out, shoot em if necessary' style tough guys would be best to hire. Shooting as a last resort of course.
There's too much pussy-footing around with violent thugs in the West today.

Obviously there have to be physical barriers preventing people from just walking into medical centres and killing/severely wounding innocent people.
