There's plenty of advice...but finding solutions is not so easy.....the domestic alcohol-fuelled violence, assaults, rapes of adults and children, in Indigenous communities is committed by Indigenous people.
Throw in drugs.

Theft of cars, smashing up of towns, assaults etc by indigenous youth[better off on the streets than at home with the above].
What are the solutions?
Alice Springs...town in central Australia...trouble...Albo visited for 30 minutes then left.  lol

You are never short of strange bedfellows.

White middle aged ladies in sun hats parading around in fancy "Yes 23" T Shirts seem to believe Albo when he says "It's just an advisory body".
Oh no it's not...its about exactly what was on Albo's T shirt from a few years back "Voice, Treaty, "Truth"
First a Voice enshrined in the Constitution, then a Treaty [it's 2023, not 1788], then Truth [reparations, sovereignty].
Marching about shouting "Pay the rent!"

One doesn't need to be Einstein.

It has been very clear for a long time that you stand exactly where your bigotry meets your extremely perverse self-interest. That is where you find the strange bedfellows, a freak show of pure greed and hate.

You sound like a salesman for Albo's travelling snake oil show...where the truth is well hidden behind the slogans placard.

Today in another contentious interview he was again accused of failing to explain the Voice To Parliament. The interview saw him forced to deny that a "No" vote would mean Australia is a racist nation.

Daily Telegraph...
OPINION:

"Voice date marks our Apartheid day"

How could Anthony Albanese sell us Noel Pearson's Voice, a plan to ever divide us by race and guarantee
that generations more of Aboriginal children live in poverty?
xxxxxxxx
End of Opinion
_________

14 Oct 2023 the date of the referendum.
Apartheid Day if the Yes vote wins...Australia forever divided by race, with all that would entail.
Black people separating voluntarily from the nation of Australia to go their own way, set up their own sovereignty as I doubt they'll be granted sovereignty over the whole of Australia, although you never know. They reportedly own more than 50% of the land mass of Australia now.

Oh well, such is life.

Today I walked (via Youtube) thru Montego Bay Town, St James, Jamaica.
Needs some money spent on it.
*
Yesterday I walked thru downtown Manila, Philippines.
It needs some money spent on it too.

This is what the world should be spending billions on, making these places look nice, feel uplifting...instead of spending the billions on blowing up  countries.

So aboriginal people who have lived there for 65,000 years, want a voice in parliament?  And Australia has never made any formal treaty with them?  Tell me how this will wreck parliament, as you put it, Bambi.  Seems like the main problem would be if the Voice turns out to be symbolic and toothless.

But generally, when you include people in a democratic system, it improves relationship between their communities and the rest of the nation.  Reuters informs that voting yes aims to (quote) help mend fraught ties with the Aboriginal community and unite the nation, and the advisory body will help prioritise Indigenous health, education, employment and housing.(unquote).

To rectify racial/ethnic discrimination, as has been proved around the world, you do have to formally recognize that race/ethnicity.  Pretending everyone is colorblind is generally  a way for white people to feel good about themselves and ignore fixing systemic racism.

If I'm standing with my shoe on someone's face, I am not going to help that person by saying there are no people on the ground and it is divisive to act like  there are.

The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA) vision is to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard, recognised and empowered.

We recognise each First Nations community is unique. We work in partnership with community to make sure policies, programs and services meet their unique needs.

We work to support the Minister for Indigenous Australians.

This referendum appears to be a path towards reparations, so what's the problem with that?  It certainly appears that the Europeans came and stole quite a bit, both lives and land.  You don't provide any compelling case against reparations.

Agreed.  Even if the nice thought is likely to die of loneliness.

To whom should the reparations be paid? people alive today who are 2/3 White?

Now that sounds like the beginning of a negotiation. It was so easy that you did not know you have started already. Trying to honestly figure out how to make it work is so much better than racist fascist stamping your feet and crying no.

Charlie Benante, the drummer from Anthrax, has been hanging out with John Travolta, maybe they will get together and make an Anthrax movie, they have a lot of material to draw from, they could do some cool stuff. They could make the movie at Universal here in Hollywood after the strikes are over. That would be cool.

Salute,

Oh I'll still be voting NO...hoping that there's a lot people in WA state, Tasmania state, Queensland state who've been too scared of "the violent left" to publicly show their support for the No vote...who'll be voting No at the ballot box.

Australia is running out of electricity. The Energy Regulator yesterday warned of "blackouts on the east coast this "El Nino" summer."
That's me sitting up in the dark...no hot water, no hot food, no gas station pumps working...etc.
Charming.
It's the fault of dumb politicians who embraced the "(man made)climate change" lunacy despite no 1 radio host telling them it was the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind.

Despite bambuworld having enough coal to make reliable and affordable electricity for 1,200 years, enough natural gas for 200 years, enough fracked gas for 400 years, and 1/3 of the world's uranium...it's gonna run short of electricity.
The dummies, cheered on by the climate change brigade, ignored warnings from the "sensible transition" folk and demonised coal and gas.

You have a third world mindset because you are a third world kind of guy. It will be interesting to see how that turns out for you.

I am writing to congress to suggest they give nukes to the aboriginal people of Australia.
