Mayor Bass said on the news this morning that you can judge a society by how we treat our young, and our old. If we raise our children well, then they will grow up to be good people. And I support societies such as the Ancient Incas who had a Social System where the young people helped the old people, the young people worked and the old people were the leaders and the young people took care of the old people.
If we educate and train and teach our children well, then they will become good caring, empathetic adults, who obey the Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments, etc.
And we need to have Habitat for Humanity and Homeboy Industries, etc, build housing for the Senior Citizens 55 and over, and we need to get our Seniors into housing.
Of note, many Veterans work to manage the Homeless Shelters to help the homeless, etc. There are a lot of homeless Veterans and after they are helped then they do service and give back and they help other people. Many of the workers at the Mental Health Association are Veterans, etc.
As we help the homeless then we can train them to help the other homeless. We can start a chain reaction.
Salute,
Tony V.
