A coward, unable to understand courage, pivots artlessly to a rhapsody on weapons that terrorize, excite and upset him. Fully armed he would be the exact type of timid twitchy lunatic likely to cause the most harm.

lol
Quite the opposite.
But, I would not be hacked up with a machete, stabbed 5 times with a knife, or bashed with a jemmy bar like the unfortunate elderly men shown on my tv recently, living in towns Alice Springs and Moree.

Time to re-think journalism.
You are right, of course, but for different reasons.
Print journalism is dying in the digital atmosphere.
Hard to sell subscriptions to the Daily Bugle when free news is available 24/7 on the internet.
And that news is not very well produced.
AI algorthyms make awful reading styles( think of your high school paper)
And Editors are a rarity.
The plethora of podcasts, digital news networks, and biased news sites has led to a loss of confidence by the viewers and revenue by would be sponsors.
The FCC did not help by outlawing joint ownership of a newspaper  and  a TV station in the same market.
Of course the socialists are clamoring for government subsidies to journalism overlooking that Congress is rated even lower than the news media.

It is a mess with no apparent solution.
You are not wrong, but bambu is arguing journalists should be cowering at home rather than taking a risk covering important stories. I agree modern communication techniques are altering journalism, but "only cover what is safe" is not an answer.

I didn't say that.
I just don't think they should be in harm's way so I can see pictures of the latest atrocity in Russia, China etc.
Surely there are Russian news agencies releasing pictures.

Courage and dedication can be overrated.

Exactly.

Be cautious with your courage, or you could wind up being used as 'cannon fodder' or rotting in a Russian, Chinese etc prison.

Be cautious with your dedication, or you could find yourself working back until 11pm while other staff went home at 5pm.
Or working very hard, finishing your work by lunchtime, then being loaded up with half some slacker's work...permanently.

No Russian agencies releasing official videos etc?
So western journalists decide it's a good idea to go into commie Russia and snoop around taking their own...then wonder why they get arrested and tossed in prison.
No degree from Harvard needed for this one either.

Surely there are Russian news agencies releasing pictures.

I am reminded of a scene in Ninotchka in which the guy tries to get her to laugh with this joke:

A man enters a restaurant and asks the waiter to bring him a cup of coffee without cream. The waiter walks off then comes back a few minutes later and says, I am sorry sir but we are out of cream. Can I bring you a cup of coffee without milk?

Sophia Stallone, the Daughter of Sly, received her degree from the USC School of Journalism, I wonder what her plans are?

And Universal needs to buy Playboy, and they can have an Interview of Muzi, the Daughter of the President of China, being interviewed by some brilliant young guys from National Lampoon at Harvard for Playboy Magazine.

On the issue of Russia, life is so crazy. In Malibu I had a roommate who was the Daughter of a Chinese General. Here I was all concerned about China, and God put the Daughter of a Chinese General in my house with us. So, I made my peace with China. God might bring people into our lives who can help on the issue of Russia, you never know. I did not plan on living with the Daughter of a Chinese General, and you never know who else God will bring into our lives. God might bring Russians into our lives. Blessed are the peacemakers, and we need for our allies to rise up and take control of Russia, and they can live like Royalty with the best that the world has to offer, and the world will be happy if we can have peace and prosperity. If we could be allies with Russia, and with China, both, then that would be great. Imagine a world without a Cold War and with peace, we had peace with Russia for a while, and Pantera played there, etc, we should have did more to promote the peace. Also, Condoleezza Rice is an expert on Russia.

And we are making progress on the issue of Iran, Mahlagha Jaberi and Farah Pahlavi met in Washington DC. Mahlagha Jaberi can also get a lot of attention if she poses for Playboy, and she can give an interview for Playboy, etc.

The journalists have my respect. And I am grateful that we have brave people who work for the CIA to prevent crimes and human suffering, and Biden is getting briefed and is getting the best info from the CIA so Biden knows all of the facts.

Salute,

Tony V.
