Sometimes people are too intelligent for their own good.
Blessed with intelligence and prestigious education, people should be able to forge great lives for themselves.

I meant that, whatever formal education he had (comp sci and math), his mind was clouded.  Common sense would tell you to quickly throw away a gun you just shot someone with, ditto the fake ID, and to keep your covid mask on (his apparently pulled down to flirt with check-in girl at the hostel).  And don't take a taxi.  Possibly at some level he wanted to be caught.

This guy wanted to get caught, will probably confess, get his story out and be pardoned by Trump the Merciful on Day One.
Presidents cannot pardon those convicted of state crimes.

That insurance CEO shooter, based on details so far, seems not to have read many crime novels, or be terribly bright.  Looks like the long arm has nabbed him in Altoona.
Just an Ivy League Social Justice asshole.

He came top of the class. Gave the speech.
Now look what's happened, what he's allegedly done.
It's madness.
The whole thing is ridiculous, but very true unfortunately.

look at all the terror groups and army groups *lining up* to rule Syria and wherever else they can in the Middle East.

No wonder Israel has already bombed weapons facilities in Syria.

Wonder who'll be getting the chemical weapons?

Saw Antony Blinken on my tv screen saying there's no way the US was going to allow ISIS to become a force again.

Just an Ivy League Social Justice asshole.
Or an a anti-woke fan of Peter Thiel who watches too many YouTube videos without a filter and thinks they are true.

You can tell that Bambu is chomping at the bit for "nukes" to be deployed.

Or the shooting was the first of others  to follow, since he held onto the gun, fake ids, and the cash, etc.

Next time some billionaire oligarch says they want to get rid of the CFPB

Musk is a contender for Asshole of the Century.  (and that's a highly competitive contest)

Mangione crossed state lines to commit the murder.

Possibly.  More to learn.  Many, myself included, had to wonder if Mangione had a friend who had been denied coverage and there were grave consequences.  (given his family's wealth, probably not a relative)  Or as Lime speculated,  too much YouTube time without a horseshit filter.

Can you actually fake an id? I thought that referred to innate instincts and impulses. Where is Freud when you need him?

On the issue of the United States Banking System and debt...

Alexander Hamilton founded the Bank of New York so that we could get in debt to ourselves instead of getting in debt to foreign nations. The Bank of New York was the first company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and their first loan was to pay the paychecks for President George Washington, etc. The Bank of New York is also the official bank of Israel.

When I was a cook at the Colt Casino in Battle Mountain, Nevada, we had a waitress who was a daughter of the Vice President of the Bank of New York. Battle Mountain has Gold Mines and the banks like the Gold.

And if we borrow from the Bank of New York then we pay interest to ourselves instead of to a foreign country.

Now, there is crypto, and Trump is talking about his love for crypto, and I have friends who are talking about the Constitutionality of our banks and public debt and crypto, etc. I do not get it.

I think that the most stable form of currency would be to back our currency with Gold, and meanwhile the banks are all investing in Gold, etc. And Israel is involved with diamonds, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.
