Please send a message to the left/far left Australian Albo led federal govt that Australia can't be powered by wind and solar alone.

You could easily power a nation with ten times your population with a good power grid and the amount of sun you get.  You only need fossil sources as bridge fuels, while you build storage and solar/wind installations.  Ohce you have STORAGE systems, the intermittent nature of solar/wind won't be a problem.  This has been explained here before.
No it has not. Not even close.

Yes it has.

An Australian man today was admitted to a hospital after he inserted 20 plastic toy horses in his rectum.

Doctors are describing his condition as stable.

LOL

Glad you liked it.  I know some do not appreciate a good pun, there are always neigh-sayers.

Anthony Bordain got famous from The New Yorker, I used to send poetry to The New Yorker for years just trying to become a paid and published poet, I did not have any intention of becoming a celebrity at that time, I just wanted to be able to make a living from my poetry. I had no idea that The New Yorker had such power, and I did not know that they were as powerful as they are.

Of note, a friend offered to help to publish my poetry book if his record label takes off and becomes huge, I wish him much success, and I think my book will be huge like Maya Angelou and Rudyard Kipling, I will be able to pay him back big time, hopefully.

And having a published poetry book will help me to get my movie script made or sold. And I plan to do charity as a Christian, and to help the orphans in Mexico, etc. We will see what happens, maybe someday I will own Universal Studios. Or at least maybe a winery in Italy, and a night club in Rome. And maybe a house in Malibu. We will see.

Of note, it would be good to volunteer to help the poor some more after the holidays, even without any pay or recognition, we will see.

Salute,

I was groomed to be a leader, here is another example... When I worked for the Burbank YMCA at Camp Earl Anna, it was a small village, we had 25 cabins and a cafeteria and kitchen and beds for the workers, etc, and we used to have 350 children at a time staying there. They taught me everything, I washed dishes and learned the restaurant business while there as we cooked for the campers, and I cleaned toilets and I learned how to do plumbing to fix the toilets, etc. I was also in charge of the water system. And we put in a new electrical system. Then, when the parents came they put me in charge of Public Relations and I had to dress up nice and give the Parents a tour of the camp, etc. So that was like doing diplomacy and public relations. I volunteered for 2 summers at the camp, it was great. Anyhow, I did not make any money, I was a volunteer, but I learned a lot and they were grooming me to be a leader.

If you can go into Paradise Valley, Nevada, and build a village there for Farm Workers to plant Olive Orchards, then you can create a safe spot for the refugees to work in orchards and live in peace, etc. The United Farm Workers can help. Listen to the Bocelli song where he asks for a safe spot for the vulnerable, Paradise Valley can be that spot. And they need a water system, and an electrical system, and cable television, and fiber optics for the internet, etc. They can elect a Mayor for the town, and they can create a town council, etc. Right now the town has very few people, but it is safe, and safety is what the people want, they want to get away from violence and be safe. They can have schools for the children, and churches, and Kiwanis International, and Scouting, etc.

The streets of Los Angeles are not a good place for the homeless, they would be better off in gardens and in orchards, etc, they can play music while they work in the orchard, etc, and Nevada is a great place to grow orchards. They can have peaceful lives to raise their children without worrying about war or missiles or bombs or terrorism, etc.

And Universal Studios has their own city here in Hollywood with their own police force, etc, it is a great place.

We will see what happens. A beautiful woman told me to keep doing charity, and she said that everything else can come from that. And one can do great things as long as they do not care who gets the credit.

As we get older our most valuable asset is time. Also, we need to make the trains safer for the Senior Citizens, we need to have security on the trains.

Bambu, Australia is in great shape, you have lots of Lithium, and nice weather, nice beaches, you grow food and make wine, etc, you will be fine.

Pope Francis recently went to visit Indonesia and they love him there amazingly, so we have peace between the Catholic Church and Indonesia, so that is good, and he went on to visit East Timor, etc. Australia needs to be allies with the Pope, and King Charles needs to meet with the Pope and with King Philip of Spain and with Giorgia Meloni, etc.

And California has lots of Lithium as well, out by the date farms by Indio, it is a beautiful location in the Winter months, but very hot in the summer.

President Biden did a great job and he is finishing up with the nation in great shape.

Of note, the comedians have always been smart people like Gallagher, and George Carlin, and Robin Williams, and Richard Pryor, and they have been great story tellers. I have always had a respect for the comedians.

I remember when I first came to Orange County, I went to the Crystal Cathedral for the "Hour of Power" with Robert Schuller, and the whole parking lot was full of Rolls Royces, the OC was rich back then, and Schuller was great. Schuller used to send shoes to Mexico for the poor in Mexico, and he sent care packages to the prisoners, and my Uncle Dennis used to get care packages from Schuller when he was in prison. Schuller was great, and California was rich back then. Then Schuller died and their whole church collapsed.

California was doing great back in the 1980s and it has been in decline ever since Bush Senior took office. 25 years ago the OC had Rolls Royces in the church parking lots, and you do not see that anymore. Now we have homeless people all over.

Mayor Bass is doing her best to help people.

I am worried about Trump being an asshole, but we can learn to help ourselves without government involvement, such as Catholic Schools, and Catholic Hospitals, etc. The Knights of Columbus can sell insurance for Health Care as well as for Housing and Auto, etc. Though I vote to retain Obama-Care for everyone.

We need to train more Doctors, Psychiatrists, and Dentists.

Teach a man to fish.........

That's what the Chairman/supremo of my NRL rugby league club had done/ is doing.
Teaching the Board members etc of the club to invest the club's money wisely,
A very rich man, club and rugby league 'tragic', could give the club millions...but instead is setting the club up for future success, imparting his business acumen to others loyal to the colours and the emblem.

In days of old, when I was much younger and often ate at the club's bistro, in the line wiith *me* were older people with numbers tattooed on their arms.

Oliver Stone made a movie about George W. Bush and he made a point to emphasize his involvement in Baseball. In America one could say that Baseball is the sport of Presidents.

I grew up as a huge Dodgers fan, and I watched them win a lot, they have always been a championship team. Then with the World Series Win this year, the Dodgers are great.

The Angels won the World Series in 2002, but they need a new owner now, the current owner is a dirt bag. Maybe Gwen Stefani will buy the Angels baseball team. Gene Autry owned the Angels, and he also owned KTLA channel 5 in Los Angeles and he used to broadcast the baseball games on his own television channel.

DT:

Hundreds join rally in Martin Place to end anti-Semitism in Sydney.

As Men At Work's 'Down Under' blared from the loud speakers, peaceful protesters have whooped and cheered as politicians and prominent members of the Jewish community protest "enough is enough" at a rally in Martin Place.
...at the scene of the Lindt Cafe siege where terror struck almost exactly 10 years ago on Dec 15.

Tony,
Maids in Australia have to be paid at least the minimum mandated wage plus superannuation.
No 'cheap labour' here. We have strict labour laws, which are enforced.
Another problem is...that if I had a maid/cleaner I'd be less active
than I am now. Main thing is I don't want anyone waving dusters, vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, arms around in my home.
I can still push a vacuum cleaner, steam mop, broom. Make beds etc.

I loved having a maid. And the lady who I rented a room from paid the maid a fair wage, the maid was like part of our family there, and she was great with the children. It was a blessing to have a maid.

But I can understand, and I know other people who are the same way, they do not want a maid in their home. I tried to talk my Mother into getting a maid, but she likes to clean her home herself and she likes the privacy.

At that time I was working as a Limousine Driver while I tried to get acting work, etc, so I was a servant for people too at that time, I mostly drove people to the airport. And our maid was probably earning more money than I was at that time.
