Giants have their two tackles.  Grab the C/G
Where were the Giants in pass protection last year? Last or second to last? There is not a soul on there that cannot be replaced. Get the best player you can.
Andrew Thomas is the Giants' best player.  There's as much chance of Giants replacing him (or needing to) as there was with the Browns replacing their tackle Thomas, similarly their best player, all those years when they were terrible.
How many Pro Bowls has your Thomas been to in his first two years?

That question does nothing to refute my statement.

Well, the comp was off. You have seen more of your Thomas than I have (the one full game I saw.v Carolina was quite possibly the worst game i have seen in years and I am a Browns fan) so I will defer. Which in no way changes the idea that the team should take the best OL available regardless of position. There is always the right side.

Yes, he rates very good according to pff, just under the top level.

We have one tackle that I know of worth keeping. Unless we've made a trade lately.

Hmm

Agree to disagree

Edit - brainlock on the injury to Peart

Peart is never going to be a top-notch tackle. Unless of course he fixes his terrible footwork. Plus he's a waist-bender. At this stage of his game he just doesn't cut it IMO.

Trevor Penning is a friggin beast however. And as mean and nasty as they come. In fact, he reminds me of me, only on the other side of the rock. I love the guy for our first pick assuming Neal is gone. Defensive ends are going to learn to hate this guy very fast and for multiple reasons.

Well, he's out for the year so opinions matter not

But drafting heavily and early on the OL does matter.

Is that how the Bengals are in the Super Bowl?

You think Joe Burrows is walking through that door on draft day?

Not this year, no.

I would look at Wilson and a couple of others.

And certainly consider drafting Malik Willis in round 2 - or even move up to late round 1 (or having moved down from 7) and take him.

Earlier posts here had me taking LaMarr Jackson (in a traade up) and Tua Tagavioloa.  2 guys who could be Giants franchise QB right now.  (I also of course approved the Jones pick when it occurred)

Psst, they lost. Besides they HAVE a quarterback. Giants could have had Allen. Then my mindset on the draft may be totally different.

The Giants draft stupidly. They could have had Micah Parsons last year. I like Toney but he wasn't the correct pick. NOT! NOT! NOT!

We will need to  see how the extra picks (for moving off Parsons) work out as well

To replace a guy like Parsons they better "work out" to an exceptional degree.
