Trump with undue influence on a Republican senator.

This is news?

If there is a story its that Spector took a bribe.

Legacy of shame.

You misread the story. He didn't take the offer.

I read about 2/3 of the original ESPN story a few days ago. I stopped reading when it seemed it was all allegation and no facts. I've no idea if Spector took money or not.

Facts are important.

My retort to Utley ("if there is a story") were TIC, but on target.

It would not shock me that in 2008 a corrupt NYC developer, failed casino owner, reality TV star, and US's biggest deadbeat, who wanted to gain favor with Kraft, told him he had some pull with Spector and would ask for a favor. And it would not surprise me if Trump made a campaign contribution to Spector. Rich people buy influence with pols all the time. Nature of the beast. They call it campaign contributions rather than payola.

The piece I posted was an opinion piece.

In the end, the Pats are forever stained, as are the Houston Astros, as a cheats.

Accept it and move on.

Oh, forgot. According to your pal Stevie from AZ, you never move on.

I knew it was an opinion piece, as opposed to factual 1st hand reporting.

it was lazy click-bait.

As I tried to explain to my friend boz, facts matter. He just had a hard time applying them rationally. Facts got in the way of his long-held opinion and a fear of offending Elba's oh so self-proclaimed woke knights of social justice.

It is what it is.

IMO those sleepless nights eventually catch up with you, and maybe a nap is in order.

As to moving on, I'm not the one hung up on an old story, who feels compelled to troll about a click-bait article based on a 14 YO story.

I wonder how Brady cheated in Tampa?

I wonder how Brady cheated in Tampa?

It's just a matter of time before we find out.

Yes.

The facts are that there is no record of Spector's getting a donation from Trump in the FEC reporting period (1/1/2008-12/31/2010) in question.

Given that that aligns with what the story reported Spector indicated, I suspect it is just true.

It would not have surprised me if it had proven to be false.

It also would not surprise me if Trump made that offer without having discussed it with Kraft, as he has struck me as the sort to try to gain leverage in less than savory ways.

But we have no proof of either conversation's having taken place, only that a donation did not happen, but the senatorial investigation went nowhere, too.

Here we see two Trump haters working hard to save face, as they are infected by Pats Disease and TB12 Syndrome.

The laughs just keep on coming!

Figures you would be more excited about the dolt who would prefer to retire than to be vaccinated than the person who came out of the closet.

"I'd rather die actually living."

What an idiotic statement.

Who made you the Sheriff if Excitement? To each his own.

As for coming out, if it's okay to be gay, what does it mean to come out? If you're gay, you're gay. Who gives a fuck?

I have always been the Sheriff "if" Excitement, Ham. Used to be one of my taglines, though I spelled it "of."

And you're hilarious with your "if it's okay to be gay," since you know full well it is not okay with a huge chunk of this country.

Who gives a fuck?

It's "okay" to be Jewish, too, but that sure doesn't seem to mean that nobody gives a fuck.

Way, way too many people. Both in the locker room and the world at large.

I too once met a girl in Central Park, but it is not much to remember. What I remember is the time John Wayne killed three men with a carbine as he was falling to the dusty street in Stagecoach, and the time the kitten found Orson Welles in the doorway in The Third Man.

Good for Nassib.

Taking 15 years to finally share who he is has to be a great relief for Nassib.

Hopefully his courage will be helpful to others.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/eli-manning-officially-rejoins-giants-in-new-front-office-role-will-have-no-10-jersey-retired-this-season/

...The Giants announced Monday they've hired the former Super Bowl champion to fill a new role in their front office, with Manning set to contribute to New York's business operations and fan engagement staff before having his No. 10 jersey retired and joining the club's Ring of Honor this fall.

Eli, in sworn deposition, said the #10 jersey was game-worn.

False equivalency, Josh. Do you remember Julian Edelman holding a press conference to announce he was a Jew?

Why didn't he?

And thanks for catching the typo. If acceptance means what it means, then there is no need to announce you're gay, or to riff on typos.

Just go be fucking gay, and live with errors that come from tiny keyboards on smartphones.
