But consider that your guy is FOUR YEARS OLDER than Correa, Correa in 4 years vs the 35 year old you prefer.

If I need a shortstop, I PREFER the guy who wants to sign.

I would WOO each guy up to my $$ limits

I think Semien may be a bargain - though someone might pay big after missing on others

Of course, injuries, etc, anything can change, but Correa looks like a better bet than Marcus going forward.

Nobody anywhere says otherwise

A good game by the Red Sox, but only halfway to the World Series.

Still a lot of work to go.

"Just gotta win one to get back home"

Analyst, on HOU thinking

Yeah - good luck with that

Yeah - good luck with that

It could be tomorrow.

Greinke is a great pitcher.

Sure, his ERA at Fenway is 10.22, but the postseason is different!

A a bargain for how long?

You should know more about this guy.

He could VERY WELL surprise you. It seems to be his M.O.

Well, you assume a lot -

Sure, Semien would want a 4 year deal.  Might he get it?  Dont know.

(I do think Blue Jays try to keep him - at three years - if they can - TWO is probably a non starter)

I dont see Marcus S being non productive during the first part of that deal - he would be a boon to any club.

Age THIRTY FOUR season, by the way - per Baseball=Reference guidelines - in year 4.  Played this entire season at age 30

Giants just had very good luck with their older players - and will likely pick up Posey's 22 mil option - Brandon Belt and his 18 mil still to be decided.  It can be hit/miss - sure.

Always been a Greinke guy

As stated here already - American League series a bit different than NL.  Zach may not be in it when the W-L is decided - though he can of course keep them in it.

By the way - cool stat on E Rod, eh?  A lefthanded starter with 7 K and 0 BB at Fenway in a playoff game?  Wow.  Amazing.

heh

Josh - the Sox nut - who pulls his hair out with every play - not wanting to seem too excited at WS prospects.

In his mind - champagne already out.

ALEX should get this done - as Dusty is real real bad historically in these spots.

Which MGR do you think is getting his troops in proper frame of mind - and which is just sucking on a pick?

Yes, he's an odd duck. One or two things in the video that I don't recall having heard before, but most of it is pretty well established.

He could surprise me, there is no doubt about it. Like I said, the post-season is different.

He also could pitch the way he has pitched since September started, running at a clip of more than a run per inning.

We don't know, just as we didn't know when Erod made his 2nd start of the playoffs or when he went up against the Astros, who clobbered him in the regular season.

As the saying goes, "that's why they play the games."

There are many ways that Greinke could surprise. His pitching well is among the least of those.
