I read that in WI 17 year olds are tried as adults.

You can't vote until you're 18, can't legally drink alcohol until 21, but you're fully criminally liable for your actions at 17.  There have been recent studies that the human brain isn't fully developed mentally and emotionally at 16 and 17, combined with psychological turmoil and potential chemical imbalances, and that such teenagers often have poor judgment about consequences.

My takeaway from that is that such adolescents should be restricted from gun ownership.  They can't be trusted to use alcohol until 21, but let a kid shoot guns when they are teenagers.  Volatile political protests with emotions running high are a terrible place for armed groups to attend and hang around.  Let alone a 17 year old with what nearly everyone described as a huge weapon.

About the only thing good is this was a warning (which will go unheeded) which could have been much worse; only 2 died and another shot when this could have been a bloodbath, and this 17 year old jerk never got to become a cop, which would have been a future nightmare.

There are a lot of folks growing up thinking its okay to be openly racist, to be aggressive with guns in public, used to a very polarized antagonistic political culture -- and some of these are future police of America.  Worrisome..

Not surprising that one of Trump's armed vigilante protesters got a little trigger happy and killed 2 in Kenosha.  You think the police are bad, how about untrained police-wannabes with heavy weaponry.
Expect more of this ish.

So reportedly it was the one officer who fired 7 shots at point blank range into Jacob Blake.

Apparently police handguns frequently have up to a 15 round clip, and as semi-automatics can pump out bullets very rapidly.

This mock draft has Okoro at 6 and Cole Anthony 7, giving the Knix their pick of Okongwu, Vassell, Killian Hayes or Ty Halliburton.

Seems rather unlikely, but that would be simply ideal from the Knix point of view.
(that's probably my order, though I haven't seen Killian at all)

They also have RJ Hampton going 13 to NOP, which is way higher than I've seen elsewhere.

Also the Knix taking Malachi Flynn @ 27 (with Cassius Winston going 28).

The testing of the children has increased because the number of children showing symptoms has increased.

I'm going to start deleting this bullshit.

Josh is tired of other opinions. Only his count.

Gentry, McMillan and Spoelstra are probably 3 of my favorite coaches.
2 down ... at least Spo is safe.

McM got a lot out of a ragtag Pacer team the past few years, integrated new payers every season, kept winning, but was hurt this year by Sabonis being hurt, and Oldipo not being 100%.

I'm fine with Thibs, but Knix could have waited to see who would shake free after the season ended and teams lost in the playoffs.  On the flipside, if Thibs is your guy, lock him up before positions open with better teams.

Yo Chipster, old time drummer Charli Persip passed on a few days ago age 91.  NJ cat who did a good deal of teaching in NYC.

Without really realizing it, I have a ton of music that he played on.
Weston's Uhuri Afrika; Kirk's We Free Kings, etc.

At Least 103 New Coronavirus Cases in 8 States Linked to South Dakota Motorcycle Rally

Of course in a country genuinely trying to protect people's health and stop transmission, this would be cause for alarm.  The widespread nature makes it difficult to contact trace and this could be the beginning of a number of larger outbreaks.
But I'm surprised the toll hasn't been higher.  Though the numbers onyl going to grow, and it will be harder to trace to Sturgis the 2nd and 3rd and nth generation transmissions.

Jokic with 18 21 1Q points ...
Then what happened?
Hero ball has limits

They won with Murray making 14 of 18 shots for 33 second-half points to stave off elimination.

Jokic set the tone.  Also played the entire 2nd half.
Dozier gave DEN some good minutes with MonteMo not doing much.

6 months in and there's more cases per day in August than during the Spring.
Still no coordinated national policy.
I can't believe how bad the response has been and continues to be.
It's been embarrassing.
Not sure how it could have been worse.

The most deranged comment at the RNC thus far:

“They will disarm you, empty the prisons, lock you in your home, and invite MS-13 to live next door."

- Matt Gaetz

Since clearly none of that will happen or is remotely a possibility, it doesn't seem to be very effective fear-mongering.

Yeah, KZ was a game time decision for G4.  Then sat out.
I thought with the extra few days off that he'd be ready for G5.
Unfortunate.

I really don't want to contemplate what four more years of this level of incompetence, spread throughout all the federal agencies, would do to the country.

The funny thing is the Trump message is full of dire warnings about how Biden will harm the country and ruin civilization -- it's even infected kiid's tagline -- yet somehow 8 years of Obama-Biden were pretty normal -- fixing a major economic crisis, greatly expanding health care access, running the gov't competently without people going to jail or being fired, etc.   Not exactly a surprise that claiming Biden is dangerous doesn't get any traction.
