Terms like woke, appropriated sarcastically, are functionally the same as any other term of bigotry.  If there is, in actuality, some reason we should not value being awakened to the past effects of racism and its present reverberations, then make that argument.  If you think a traditional view of history is the correct one, and a revision will be false in some way, then make that argument.

I have.

But I try to moderate my behavior now and become a better person.
