Well, well.
States deciding to re-open and drop government mask mandates are now, according to Biden, guilty of “Neanderthal thinking?”
Do dems ever get tired of insulting voters?
The Governor of Texas is only one voter.
Say what?
What.

There are a lot of people who hate America, and they are attacking everything about America, including the NFL, Coca Cola, and Dr Seuss.

And people are dividing us up, and people are fighting us among ourselves.

The people who say they are fighting against hate are the ones spreading the hate. People are creating hate.

And we damn well better unite, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, all as Americans.

We also need for the teachers to teach American history to people, one third of the people in California are foreign born, and they need to know the truth when it comes to American history.

We need to teach people about our Founding Fathers, and about our Declaration of Independence, and about our Constitution and about our Bill of Rights.

We need to teach American history from an American perspective

Which Americans would those be, Tony?

The Natives who were lied to, killed, and cheated out of their land? For whom we practically never wrote a treaty that we later honored? Whom we denied the right to vote?

The Blacks who we kept enslaved ("All Men are Created Equal, except for you guys!) for almost 180 years after our founding, then kept down for another century plus after that?

The Women who were also denied the right to vote, denied the right to own property, denied the right to have credit in their own names... and who were "allowed" to be raped without consequence for so long?

Perhaps you mean the Japanese who were interned in camps for the crime of looking wrong and who had their property stolen from them along with their freedom.

Maybe you mean the victims of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment or the kids who ate irradiated cereal at our government's behest.

Or you might be thinking of the U.S. civilians on whom the Army ran germ warfare experiments from 1949 to 1969 - almost 250 experiments without getting any participant's permission, first.

Tony,

It's fine with me if we teach U.S. history, but you better learn it yourself before you tell somebody else what they can and cannot teach!
What we can teach is none of the groups mentioned is denied equality under US Law today.
Even if history is as you defined it it is history and it is clearly being taught.

What sort of lies, denials, and obfuscations are being presented by Ward today?

No, don't tell me. It's unrelated to the truth.

I know history Josh.

364,511 Americans died fighting to end slavery.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_military_casualties_of_war

Women in California could always own property.

The San Manuel Native American Indian Tribe is wealthy now, as is the Seminole Tribe, and other tribes, and they can help each other to rise and we can all support them.

The USA has been a great land of opportunity for immigrants from all over the world.

We stopped the Nazis, and saved France and the world.  When compared to Germany the USA has been a nation of saints.

The Japanese should not have attacked Pearl Harbor, they attacked us first. I do not agree with putting Americans of Japanese descent in camps nor taking away their possessions, that was wrong, we were not perfect, but we did not put the Japanese into death camps like the Germans did with the Jews. Japan was allied with Germany and they did horrible things. And the Japanese invaded the Philippines and killed innocent Filipinos for no reason. Japan has to own up to their own mistakes.

The USA has done a lot of wonderful things, and we have given many wonderful inventions to the world.

I am tired of people bashing the USA, without looking at all of the great things that the USA has done.

And many people are just making up lies to bash the USA.

This corona virus crisis is about over now.

We need to get everyone vaccinated and then we need to open everything back up.

Many businesses did not survive the crisis, and we are going to have to give business loans to our people to create new businesses.

A new America will rise from the ashes.

Meanwhile, wages have gone up for grocery store workers, and for other essential workers.

Americans need to keep dreaming, and America will rise as people achieve their dreams. We are a nation powered by dreams.

Biden is correct...masks should stay, and so should social distancing.

Mandatory mask wearing for all, social distancing for all, "4sq metre" rule per person in pubs, clubs and restaurants etc...some lockdowns, and mandatory 14 day quarantine in hotels for returning citizen travellers....how bambuland killed off Covid 19.
Also limits on numbers at weddings, funerals, home gatherings.

It’s still mutating, Tony, and Texas and Mississippi have declared themselves Petri dishes for new more virulent strains.

We need to get everyone vaccinated and in unions so they can protect their health and jobs and get workplaces retrofitted so they are safer for workers and customers then we can slowly and carefully begin to open up.

That’s why the two trillion coming and the next two trillion aimed at infrastructure are probably not enough survival money and stimulus for our people right now.

Dreams are nice. They are better paired with plans that account for the real challenges to be overcome in achieving them.

Britain has only just started mandatory quarantining returning travellers...11 MONTHS AFTER  Australia started doing it.
11months!!!!!

Nearly every day multiple returning travellers in quarantine in Australia test positive for Covid 19.

All great things are dreams incarnated.

You have to believe in yourself, and you have to believe in your ability to achieve your dreams.

Negative people quit before they even try, but optimists believe that they can succeed and they make it happen.

And some people just tear everything down, and destroy everything that the good people work to build, there are a lot of people like that. I wrote a poem a long time ago in which I stated that a diamond covered in shit is still a diamond, the diamond does not turn into shit just because it gets shit on. A diamond will shine, and so will the good people who persevere against those who try to tear them down.

Optimist International is a good group to help people to become more optimistic, so that they can dream big dreams and so that people can achieve their dreams.

https://www.optimist.org/

The Optimist Creed

Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Protesters in Myanmar are being shot dead in the streets.
Ambulance officers are being dragged out of their vehicles and bashed by cops/officials/troops.
If only the protesters had stayed home.

Bambu,

I think it will be okay after we get everyone vaccinated. Just like with polio.

Facilitatorn,

We are making good progress, but I agree that it is not wise to reopen until people get vaccinated. And yes, unions are important. I agree that dreams take work to become real.

One thing that I keep thinking of is that I hope that people do not become institutionalized, and forget how to work and make an honest living. When the Russians got their freedom a lot of them had problems because they did not know how to do business and survive with capitalism. We in the USA are not as bad as was the case with Russia, but it is going to be a struggle none the less.

Right now would be a good time for people to map out their dreams, and make business plans, etc, and figure out what is important to them, so that they can have a great life when this crisis is over. People can study, and learn, and plan, and people can prepare for when this crisis is over.

It is going to get better. This crisis will pass, just like with polio.

Salute,

Tony V.
