Thank you for clarifying.
It is good to know I did not misrepresent in any way your storied career.
It must make you proud to know that now all over the world there are boxes that do your job much better than you ever did and with none of the griping.
Your shitty performance may have single-handedly accelerated the now successful push to render you obsolete with not only technology but personnel that is not as racist, sexist, ignorant, objectionable and skeevy as you are, at least in the branches. The board rooms need to do a lot of catching up.
Eat your porridge knowing that your nation is better off now that you are no longer part of its banking experience.
You elevate by your absence.
Porridge is on my hate list.
They just sacked another 10,000 staff in the one I worked for, women mostly (part-timers, the men *all* moved on decades ago), of different races and cultures. No discrimination here, they sack anyone and everyone equally.
All off to unemployment.
Other banks did the same, but less numbers.
Internet banking killed bank jobs, ATMs are being removed too.
Cards are king, everywhere.
People by the large amount are working from home, permanently...4 days a week, one in the office, or one day a fortnight in the office.
In my youth one could afford a home...not today...homes are now unaffordable, young people not highly paid professionals will *never* leave home.
I was at a party, some guys asked me what I did for a living...I replied " house-husband"... "washing, ironing, cleaning, grocery shopping, paying bills, negotiating with utility companies, many companies etc.
Washing car, mowing lawn, gardening etc."
They and other guys laughed.
They made some comments that their wives thought demeaned their jobs as "house-wife".
Bad idea guys.
