A big kudo to Elon Musk for his Twitter move to label NPR as
STATE AFFILIATED MEDIA.
It is, of course, but I am sure he will relent and take it back.
Meanwhile the NPR folks are shunning Twitter so enjoy the respite.

Republicans find it is hungry work to keep food out of the mouths of our children.

Republicans are festooned with the gluttons malice for the innocent.

No tonnage of pancake makeup or array of studio lighting or astroturf campaign will cover that up.

Kudos is already singular - Greek for praise.   The S is not removed.

Major private news outlets, like ABC, CBS, Faux, also receive government money.  The US govt allocates a billion/yr for ads and pr on those private outlets.  Neither PBS/NPR, nor the private news outlets, allow fed involvement in editorial decisions or policies, except where FCC laws are impacted.

Deriving from Greek, kudos entered English as slang popular at British universities in the 19th century. In its earliest use, the word referred to the prestige or renown that one gained by having accomplished something noteworthy. The sense meaning praise given for achievement came about in the 1920s. As this later sense became the predominant one, some English speakers, unaware of the words Greek origin, began to treat the word as a plural count noun, inevitably coming up with the back-formation kudo to refer to a single instance of praise. For the same reason, when kudos is used as a subject you may see it with either a singular or plural verb.

Ahem...

NPRs federal support is about 1 percent of its operating budget.

NPR provided Musk publicly available documentation of the networks finances showing that nearly 40 percent of its funding comes from corporate sponsorships and 31 percent from fees for programming paid by local public radio stations.

NPR also covers the news free of any government influence, something that should mean it does not receive state affiliated labeling, according to Twitters very own rules.

In his later emails  Musk appears to have conceded the point.

You conveniently leave out mention of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the overseer of public radio and TV. It will receive over a half $Billion Tax dollars from Congress with 95 per going to PBS stations, by law.
To say Public Broadcasters are free of government influence is naive. THE CPB has to seek approval each year from Congress for its budget.

Should Biden be re-elected?
67 per cent NO
32 per cent YES

Maybe should Bragg should seek life in prison for Trump.
If he can find a crime.
