The NCAAP calling for a travel advisory to Florida?
Nothing more than a dishonest bit of grandstanding by a once relevant Organization bent on getting DeSantis out of the Presidential race to help Joe Biden.
The NAACP accused DeSantis of erasing Black history and restricting diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.
PWhich is laughable.
By Florida Law its public schools HAVE to teach students about the enslavement experience, abolition, the civil rights movement,and the history and contributions of people from Africa and relocated around the world.
Further, Florida students shall develop an understanding of the ramifications of prejudice, racism, and stereotyping on individual freedoms.
On national aptitude tests in 2022 statistics show black eighth graders in Florida scored 255 in math and 247 in reading, on average. That is better than the national figures (252 and 243), and it is better than in the NAACP headquarters of Maryland (250 and 244).
The NAACP should be embarrassed. It may have passed Al Sharpton in hypocritical rent seeking.
And it appears black business people in
Florida think the travel advisory will be detrimental to black businesses.
