A lot of Veterans are Cops, and Firefighters, and Paramedics, etc, and a lot of Vets are managing homeless shelters, etc.

My dearly departed buddy Tom was a Combat Medic in the Marines, he served in Kuwait, and then he worked for 20 years as a Doctor for the Navy in Pennsylvania, and then he spent the rest of his life managing homeless shelters.

My dearly departed buddy Chris was in the Air Force, then he worked for the Postal Service for 20 years, and after he retired he managed homeless shelters, and he drove around in a van with a female social worker picking up the homeless people on the street and taking them to get help and housing.

A lot of Veterans do a lot of wonderful things, along with having served our nation.
