there's no reason to believe a sewer dwelling shit covered brain-damaged troll might castigate the dirty style of play that Machado has exhibited.

or fail to appreciate a how good a player Pedroia is/was.

the troll just doesn't know any better, and never will.

hilarious rant by a Yankee fan (a kid) on the Machado trade

https://nesn.com/2019/02/young-yankees-fan-blasts-manny-machado-withdraws-welcome-for-red-sox-stars-too/

someone should fill him in on Yankee history.

Good move by Padres making it a 5 year opt out, not 3 for Manny.

I'd of course project that he gets A-Rodded/Cano'd in time - dealt to a big market.

But Padres become more interesting the next few years.

Is Manny playing SS?

In other words, you can't argue the point. Machado is a complete player who still has a little old school to his game, something not seen in Boston in years.

Then again, a shit-for-brains cretan like yourself hasn't figured out that Pedroia is Nomar II. Lots of early praise, but in the end, not durable, and seriously greatly overrated.

Ciao, dummy.

The irony of your calling somebody a cretan and a dummy is pretty strong.

The word is cretin, cretin!

No opinion of the Pedroia conversation - except to say it's pretty damn low to kick a player when he has been so badly injured.

I do appreciate it is more of a jab at Bank than anything, so wont take it personally, Ham.

Be better.

heh

There is no point other than the one atop your pin-head.

I called Machado a dirty player. And he demonstrably is and has been fined by MLB for some of his more egregious dirty acts.

Pedroia has nothing to do with Machado's inability to control his darker urges on the field. Much like you can't control your darker urges here.  Machado plays dirty, you post dirtier.

Pedroia is/was an excellent 2nd baseman. Hopefully he will be when he returns this year. He was probably the best fielding 2nd baseman in the AL general for the past decade, with 4 GG, and should have been awarded at least one more.  On top of that he's been a consistently good hitter, with a .300 batting average. He is the protypical little guy good glove/good hit, who could play ball and finds himself playing 2nd base.

Pedroia is about as old-school as it gets.

But you are too fucking dumb to understand that.

Guess Willie Mays was a dirty player.

Oh?

How often did he get fined for his conduct?

How often did he go out of his way to step on the first baseman when he ran past the base?

No fine. Just baseball. The way it should be played.

Pussies.

The way it was played when Mays played. It was a more physical game and one that was generally policed by players. If someone slid a little too hard with spikes up, they understood they might catch a fastball on the chin.

But as you fail to ascknowledge the rules were changed to protect the players, often from themselves.

And a photo of Mays from the 50 years ago is no rebuttal about the numerous dirty plays, and fines and suspensions, of Machado over the past few years.

you failed again.

https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2019/02/21/veteran-globe-baseball-writer-nick-cafardo-dies/2ApW3rmk8q7I5qfeOmOjfL/story.html

Nick Cafardo, the Boston Globe’s nationally recognized and widely respected baseball columnist, died Thursday in Fort Myers, Fla. He was 62. Cafardo’s love of baseball and commitment to his craft compelled him to report to JetBlue Park, the spring training home of the Red Sox, on one of his rare days off. He was apparently stricken by an embolism at the park, and members of the Sox medical team were unable to revive him.

62 is too young.

Nick took over the Sunday Notes column and you could tell he loved the game.

RIP

Sorry to hear it - but while he might have chosen a (much) later date, I don't know that there is anywhere he would have rather died.
