Not sure what your problem is

Last time I was truly active as a bettor was NFL season - and Steelers killed me.  Not taking that plunge this year but I do keep track of the numbers

I watch and go to games when they are solidly in last place, too. It is not about expectation of winning that keeps me going and watching, but about enjoying the games and cheering for my team even when they suck.

This year, they don't suck. They win more than they lose (though it is close at home) and they lose in entertaining ways, sometimes, as well as winning entertainingly.

But I am a baseball fan, not just a Sox fan, so I watch other teams' games, too. Even when they, too, have no chance of post season!
