Ok... so Mets facing LAD in a key series, hoping to take 2 of 3 and lose just one game max on MIL, CHI this weekend

So Alonso SITS

And Calloway leaves lefty in to face lefty killer Taylor, already down 3 runs.

Of course we will rally late (loaded bases just after that).....but to no positive end.

Sox have been playing out the string for months,

and poorly.

Just took a look at Phillies schedule, brutal,

going to be hard to make up ground playing Sox/Tribe/Braves/Nats and with the Braves (3) Tribe (3) Nats (5) all on the road.

As the season's over there's no need to rush him back, but I read Cora hopes to play him this week, after seeing the Dr.

I suspect alcohol was involved.

Speaking of which, I was in a bar playing Pub Trivia (nerd alert!!) a couple of weeks ago when an old-fashioned barroom brawl broke out.  Glasses smashed, chairs broken.  Scarier now than when I was younger.

Speaking of Seinfeld episodes - horrible use by Costas last night on LA-NYM telecast

"The JERK STORE called and they are all out of you" - after Jed Gyorko drives i the tiebreaking and eventual winning run.

The offered apology from Bob didnt cut it.
