Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and George Springer are hitting a combined .184 with a .677 OPS to start the season.

Turns out hitting is way easier when you know what is coming.

Or, when you think the next pitch is coming at your little head.

Tyler Skaggs' death may have been from fentanyl he got from a non-medical professional with the team.

Hardly engenders empathy, when one is so stupid.

I agree.

But I have even less sympathy for Eric Prescott Kay.

I have some for the other folks that Kay sold to, as I suspect that their lives are all about to be taking a sudden turn. OTOH, perhaps it will save their lives.

Agree with all of that.

Or when one has Trumpian levels of personal empathy. With opiod addiction, "stupidity" is usually not the issue.

Technically he aspirated his own vomit. He had oxycodine and alcohol in his system as well.

Addictive behavior is generally not something on the smart / stupid continuum. Especially when pain medication is involved.

Boone with his head up his ass ruins a good game by Paxton.

Boone continues to have his head up his ass by bringing Holder out again.

Boone continues to have his head up his ass by bringing Holder out again.

But he has a formidable team with which to work, which may overcome the location of his noggin, at least for the regular season.
