I guess there are no newspapers in Philly worth reading. But i wouldn't know as I don't waste my time searching for shit to troll others with.
In any case.

But he Seaver) also pitched the final games of his career for the Boston Red Sox in 1986. And if he hadn’t hurt his knee in Toronto in late September, he would have started Game 4 of the World Series against the Mets instead of Al Nipper. With Seaver in the rotation, I believe the Red Sox would have won that haunting World Series.

For a team-up 2-1, playing at home in Game 4, having Seaver, a tested WS veteran, and who had pitched pretty well for the Sox, (3.80 ERA) would have been an big upgrade over Nipper, who pitched to a 5.38 ERA in '86, and was making his post-season debut.

That doesn't seem a wild speculation about Seaver or the '86 series.

Defending the continued whining from 1986.

Too fucking funny!!!

What's too fucking funny is you don't understand Shaughnessy's use of the word "might" in giving his opinion.

Keep on trolling moron

Red Sox fans are the losingest team in all of MLB.

Guess that's why their fans are all in hiding.

As Sox fans are aware and as I've commented on, they are in the midst of tankathon rebuild 2020 and they suck

I guess the troll for all his deep dives into all things Boston missed the trades pre and during the season that reshaped the team

He should probably come up for air and see the light.

But the losingest team in all baseball for all time remains the Philles and by a wide margin.

As the troll proves every day, 137 years of suck creates an angry ignorant and jealous fan base.

and the troll sucks hard every day

Nothing unusual about COO, or a new head of baseball ops, (eg. Chaim Bloom ) making some changes in FO personal and presumably bringing in new personal that he feels more comfortable with.

Or it could be related to belt-tightening in a revenue constrained covid worldthat might stretch into 2021.

I guess they don't teach principles of management or business strategy or much else at the troll's alma mater, Douche Bag A&M

Heh

Still losing.

Bottom line, the Boston fans have walked away from the team. Covid or no Covid, the product on the field would still yield an empty Fenway.

Certainly no real baseball fans with Bosox allegiance to be seen around here.

Still losing.

yes you are.

its a habit you established years ago.

I'm pretty sure you own the record for losing on the internet.

Congrats troll for cementing your place on the list of unfortunate forgetable accomplishments.

much like your team of choice-the Phillies-137 years of suck.

in any case, attendance at Fenway is way off this year.

the troll provides so much unintentional comedy gold.

He's a real pure-bred Philly fan

angry, ignorant and jealous

with nothing better to do in his pathetic life than to troll a sports forum

FYI re MLB non-player cost reductions

lots of teams are cutting non-players, scouting, etc.

here are the Ys and Angels.

https://theathletic.com/2023800/2020/08/26/player-development-staff-is-hit-hard-in-yankees-furloughs-and-layoffs/

https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/angels-to-make-significant-cuts-to-scouting-department-furloughing-multiple-employees-prior-to-mlb-draft/

Her's a late May 2020 list of all teams and their plans for cost reductions

https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/all-30-teams-employment-plans-for-baseball-operations-employees/

Phillies: Employment guaranteed with no furloughs through October.

Phillies management was unaware there were any revenue-expense issues that might need to be addressed.

there's a reason why they have been the worst team in MLB for 137 years.

and have spawned generations of ignorant, angry and jealous orcs as fans.

Lou Brock

https://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseball/professional/cardinals-legend-lou-brock-dies-sunday-afternoon-at-81/article_1fb0067d-7526-5d8c-b92d-4896a9b91e6b.html

St. Louis Cardinals' Hall of Famer Lou Brock, who had fought through a number of medical conditions in recent years, died Sunday afternoon. He was 81.

I was lucky enough to see Lou from the CF bleachers in G2 and G7 of the '67 WS.
He destroyed the Sox with his bat and legs.

RIP Lou

My Macgregor "Ernie Broglio" glove was probably my most important possession from age 9-13
