The NLCS poll is up for a bit less than 2 days.

Besides winners, what sorts of predictions do you want to make?!

Either did the 1st base ump. That was all check swing

An awful way for that game to end. Just awful.

A great game by both teams.

And Mookie - 4 for 4!

According to 538:

Dodgers   74% chance of getting to the WS;   54% chance of winning the WS
Astros   61% chance of getting to the WS;   22% chance of winning the WS
Braves   26% chance of getting to the WS;   13% chance of winning the WS
Red Sox   39% chance of getting to the WS;   11% chance of winning the WS

As I said yesterday, the Dodgers are the favorites, not the Astros.

The Sox have a better chance of making the WS than the Braves, but even so a lower chance of winning it.

Maybe he had a dinner date. Wondering if it was the ump who was working his first playoffs?

It's a pretty fucking boring way of looking at baseball, reducing to some stathead's computer simulation crap.

Bring something interesting, Josh.

Talk about matchups or will Sale pitch well or who is hated more than the Astros or???

There is literally no checked swing rule in the rulebook.  I think the first or third base umpires are just guessing.

Back in the day there was no appeal to the first or third base umpire as to whether a called non-swing was in fact a swing.

I've got no problem going back to those days.

Thanks.  Likely the first prediction I've ever gotten correct.  There's a reason I don't wager on sports.
