Pesky held the ball in '46

Kinsler should have in '18

Wow.   Longest post-season game,  in elapsed time,  as well.   7 hours,  20 minutes.

They should take a day off,  push the schedule back.

TV and radio would veto that quicker than you could say "Jack Robinson". (While that expression did not come from the ballplayer it's always appropriate when the Dodgers are involved).

Kenley getting Tendi, Betts and Xander 1-2-3 changed the game

Had JD hit that inning Benintendi stays in the game and JD is likely out.  Holt likely remains at 2B.

MGR Roberts - in late and close games you go with your defense unless behind.  Lesson learned.

Wimp.

It was a joke.   I was going to add that, since it ran 18 innings,  they should count it as two games,  but refrained out of deference to Sox fans.

If that old expression really wanted to convey quickness of saying,  then they should have picked Mel Ott.

Dodgers have Kershaw and Buehler one more tiime each at least

Makes for potential drama, to be sure.

But can Clayton even be near-usual Clayton vs this lineup?

As is often the case the aces may be secondary players....

It felt like 2 games, the first a 8th inning 1-1 game

and then a 10 inning 2-1 game, with a walk-off dinger.

It was an amazing game, with enough turns and managerial moves to keep a fan occupied for hours.

and it did.

The greatest baseball injustice, so to speak, was hanging an "L" on Eovaldi, he was great.

IMO from the Sox perspective the top of the order no-showing (0-28) was the real reason for this thing depriving me of sleep.

Betts and Bogey seem to be sleep walking. Time for them to wake up.

But on the pitching hand, as we all know good chucking...

And the Buehler did not take the day off,

Ferris was special.

Ah well

more coffee

a lot more

and hopefully a Sox win in LA

Steve "THE TRUTH" Pearce with a huge night.

as an aside Fox had a blurb that Pearce was one of 3 Sox with 1 HR and 4 rbis in WS game.

Yaz Game 2 '67

Ortiz Game 1 '04

I was lucky enough to be at both those games.

And it can't be said enough, but Manny Machado is a fucking cheap shot piece of shit.
