Wait - the Olympics now contains a Gus Macker tournament?

It's all about toughness. Clearly.

Inability to follow through.

Being a wimp.

I was intrigued by the Team Saber event, until I realized it was a series of 1 on 1 duels, which is not what I had envisioned.

I see Josh and folks like this are working hard to maintain Simone Biles's "victim" stays:

Perhaps, though, Ms. Bikes is connected to a gambling organization.

That would have been sword of interesting.

I stood up for Naomi Osaka, too, Piggy. And for Becca Meyers, for all that we didn't discuss her here that I noticed.

You're the one who jumps on every single Black person who doesn't thrive and is in the media because of it. Ever discuss Biles before this time around?!

Still waiting for an answer to my simple questions, since you are "fearless" about your history.

Fuck you. It's all about her calling herself the GOAT and then quitting. You only need to launch the usual bullshit attack in me because you can't defend her.

Will she be giving back the money, btw?

But since you brought it up, there are quite a few sports figures who quit on their team or their career prematurely. Barry Sanders, Santonio Holmes, Pete Carroll, Lane Kiffin, Roberto Duran, Terrel Owens, Randy Moss, Patrick Roy, John Daly, and Michael Jordan, Oliver McCall, Scottie Pippen.

They all were criticized heavily for quitting. They're all men. Most are black. Probably a coincidence.

I posted two defenses of her that were better than anything I could have written, by other athletes.

"the usual bullshit attack in (sic) me" is merited because you are only attacking Black athletes (and Boston figures) and attacking them for stupid reasons.

You want her to be full of false modesty and not admit what others know, that she is the greatest gymnast ever? It's hardly like she's the only one saying it or that those who said it before are not reiterating it now.

Naomi Aoki did not suddenly retroactively become a bad tennis player because of mental health issues. Becca Meyers' prior performances are not diminished by her leaving the Olympics because she was denied her usual, necessary, support.

Tom Brady really won that game and is not "Sleepy Tom" for miscounting plays once.

And if you have a moment in which you do not demonstrate racism, it won't change your long history of racist conduct here.

And my questions stand - do you have international competition experience, Piggy, and were you near the top of your field if you did?!

In the only thing I ever competed in seriously, I was never better than the top 5 percent overall and 10% for active competitors - I wasn't willing to put in the training hours to go beyond that. I was only in a couple international events. I worked with some of the top US competitors of both genders and watched what some of them went through. For some it was a walk in the park, for others a grind - but for a bunch, it was not a constant thing, rather depending on what else was going on in their lives.

For somebody so ready to make up a bogus narrative about the Founding Fathers and the morality of their time by which you claim they should be judged, you sure are rigid about this Black gymnist.

Maybe Piggy isn't after Simone Biles for being black, but for trying to compete after having been sexually abused.

Maybe, again, you can go fuck yourself. OPINIONS VARY on issues like this. THE FACT that you can't handle any opinion that deviates from your woke world dogma indicates that you who preach inclusion are among the most exclusive individuals here. You are an intolerant asshole, always have been, and always will be.

“It feels crazy, it is so surreal,” Lee says. “It’s a dream come true. I don’t even know what to say. It hasn’t even sunk in. ... The past two years with Covid have been crazy. There was one point I wanted to quit. To be here and to be an Olympic gold medallist is just crazy.”

But, she didn't. And she's got the gold medal. That's what real champions do.

Congrats, Champion.

If you ever had opinions that were not bent this way, then accepting it would be easy.

But you don't.

Well, nosh, there you go. The whole point of asshat Forrest's anti Biles bile was not him having an honest opinion regarding her, but baiting someone into calling him a racist so he could do the whole "cannot handle opposing opinions" horse shit. I don't think he even has a real opinion on her; he has spent the last two days, fingers poised over the keyboard, saying "if they won't call me racist, please someone say black, please someone say black".

The thing about being an asshole racist like Forrest is that even when being not specifically racist he's still an asshole. Until he kept going on and on, I thought he. was merely being his normal sociopathic, devoid of human empathy, self. Then I realized he was race baiting, which reminded me that race baiting is itself a form of racism.

Quote
In 1996, Kerri Strug was raised in an abusive system with no choice. A system that ran over the bodies and souls of little girls. After suffering an injury on her first vault, she was pushed by the Karolyis to put her body at risk for a second vault--a vault they mistakenly thought was necessary to clinch gold. She was  then handed over to Larry Nassar to care for her broken body.
In 2021, Simone Biles and her coach chose her safety and well-being first. There's no Karolyis, no Nassar, no Karolyi Ranch.
This is the change we've worked so hard for. If all you see is the color of the medal, you're part of the problem.

~Rachel Denhollander, former gymnast, first to publicly accuse Larry Nassar of sexual assault

Using Kerri Strug as an example of courage when compared to Simone Biles is to totally fail in your understanding of Strug's story.

Quote
Former American gymnast Kerri Strug has praised Simone Biles, who exited the team competitions of the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday citing mental health concerns.

Her exit has triggered a debate, along with comparisons with an ankle injury that Strug herself suffered in 1996.

“Sending love to you,” wrote Strug in a tweet on Tuesday, tagging Biles.

“Team UNITED States of America,” the 43-year-old former gymnast added, along with a heart and goat emoji, a reference to Biles earning the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) moniker.
