What goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas. An advertising slogan. "We are just a little bit naughty." Tee hee.

I have been twice. Rained like hell both times.

Still have not been in a casino.

I've run out of money in retirement...will you?
Are you sure you won't?
Is your plan absolute?

Is your home insured for 'everything', and replacement value?
Fire, flood, storm, tornado, failed electrical wiring, old or rats-chewed...fire accidentally started by residents?
Amount of insurance $500,000 but only $15,000 for flooding? (as happened in bambuland)...people got caught...didn't read all the policy including all the fine print.
An older man (and wife) shown in a You Tube video who are living under a bridge, inherited a home somewhere in America, it was uninsured and burnt down, they couldn't pay the property taxes so the property was taken.
Poor, they became homeless...under the bridge is their new home.
Not substance abusers.
They survive on donations from food banks and a church.

The monthly fees in my village keep increasing every year, by the rate/amount of inflation, and so does everything in society. My pension does not.
I'll survive, but only because ...as promised, the federal govt pays me an aged pension. All of this pension money is spent in the community one way or another. Food, fuel, car tyres, car repairs, vets, life insurance, stores, village gardeners, staff, maintenance contractors etc
Every homeless/unemployed/elderly person in the West should get a pension amount (means tested) every FN.

You are not alone, apparently.
So, in America, what happens to you then?

I never thought about getting old/elderly, until I got there....which of course was much too late.

I have been gainfully unemployed for more than five years. Good thing I had a plan.

Some crazy things are happening in New York City, looks like the whole government was corrupt, we will see what news comes out, but it looks like the Mayor of New York was accepting money from people from Turkey, and also the Police Commissioner was corrupt, and the whole government was corrupt it seems. Sad. We will see what happens, I am watching the news on the issue.

I am glad that we have Mayor Bass here in Los Angeles, she is doing a good job, and she is helping the homeless, I like Mayor Bass, and she is getting LA ready for the Olympics, etc. One thing, we have Marina Del Rey here in California that is a lot like Cannes in the French Riviera, and in Cannes the women are allowed to go topless on the beach, and I think that the women should be allowed to go topless on the beach here in Marina Del Rey, California. Also, my favorite hotel in Los Angeles is the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills on Beverly Blvd across the street from the mall, and if you are rich then you can get a Bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and then there is also the Ritz in Pasadena that is nice.

And Viva Las Vegas.

Salute,

Bambu, here in the USA we have Social Security, and Section 8 Housing, and Medical Care for all. Mayor Bass is getting the homeless people into housing as fast as she can.

On the issue of Entertainment, then "Baywatch" was the number 1 show on television when it was on, and if Universal Studios bought Playboy and if they brought back the Playboy Channel then I am sure it would be successful, and they can have adult Love Boat, and adult Fantasy Island, and adult Slocum Westerns, and adult Beach Blanket Bingo movies, etc.

And Playboy Magazine needs to do an interview of Muzi, the daughter of the President of China who attended Harvard here in the USA, in order to help to bring the USA and China closer together and we can cure cancer together, and we can go to Mars together, etc. And Natalie Portman also attended Harvard and she can work together with Muzi to help to make the world a better place.

Salute,

Tony V.

In bambuworld...the 'A triple C'
'Australian Competition and Consumer Commission'...is taking the two largest supermarket chains to court for alleged "dodgy discount practices" and allegedly hundreds of breaches of the rules.
Good, might smarten them up, and get me some lower prices.

On my tv news just now:
"ACCC Supermarket Inquiry results to be released tomorrow."
*
The treatment of farmers and other suppliers by the supermarkets should be interesting.

An energy company has been been heavily fined, $14M for 'misleading consumers'.

The loud voices of the complaining People have been heard...at last.

XXXXXX

Not happy with your life?
Not happy with your supermarkets, fuel prices, roads, family, extended family, public transport etc etc etc?
Complain bitterly, never know your luck. :)
