For another apocryphal story along the same lines look up the U.S. Senate race in 1950 between George Smathers and Claude Pepper where one was condemned by the other (does it matter which) for,  among other sins, "masticating in public restaurants"

Or for an entirely true story, Christine O'Donnell having to deny being a witch.

Republicans kicking ass in debate season, seems.  Even Herschel draws praise from the left.

Thanks again, Kid!

I had Warnock in a walk.  But seems this year more are paying attention to his trying to run over his wife among or transgressions.

Dems need that one badly.

We know the coal jobs are not coming back to Kentucky, but instead of seeing it as a bad thing then we can use this opportunity to elevate and educate our people and to grow.

According to Maslow's hierarchy of human needs we know that people need to have food, shelter, safety, etc, before they can rise to the highest levels of actualization where they can create and lead. We can send the people of Kentucky food from California grown by immigrants, etc, and we need to build more schools and libraries in Kentucky, and we can send them cheap supplies from Mexico, etc, and we can help the people of Kentucky to rise to the higher levels where they can create, and where they can solve problems, and the people of Kentucky can have better lives.

Salute,

Tony V.

At a time of raging inflation, Trusses plan of massive tax cuts (mostly for the rich) plus energy subsidies sent the British pound into a tailspin. She was forced to swap out her initial chancellor of the exchequer for a replacement, who then nixed most of the plan. Interestingly, at the time she introduced her plan, some American conservatives cheered the supply-side attempt to juice the economy. Trusses belly flop does not seem to have dissuaded Republicans from pushing tax cuts for the rich.

His ex wife's foot, as he is leaving an argument.  Seems like Boz's LBJ story is applicable.  Warnock's opponents love to watch him deny it.  Cars weigh something.  There would be medical evidence.  Warnock could just let people figure that out.  Those still capable of rational thought, anyway.  The zombie brigade will just believe whatever Fox innuendo is presented until their brains are all Tuckered out.

It is how republicans usually blow up the strong and growing economies they inherit from Democrats.

The republican party is the party of squandering inheritances. It is their record and their principal purpose.

They do not actually start believing any fox bullshit until their brains are all Tuckered out. That horrid parasite leaves his little nests between some of the weirdest sets of ears imaginable.

Very much in the Clinton "I tried marijuana but didn't inhale" semantic playbook: dabbled at witchcraft, but wasn't a witch.

I dabbled at pig foreplay...

Would it even matter if Ralph ran over her foot?  Pretty common event where someone is badgering someone through the car window and they get some toes squished by ignoring the driver's warning of "I'm leaving now!"

The low quality of the story underscores the desperation to find dirt.

Considering Warnock's opponent allegedly pointed a gun at his ex wife and repeatedly threatened to kill her it would be surprising if running over her foot whe backing out moved the needle all that much.
