Bambu, the best choice for President from the Republican Party might be Condoleezza Rice. She could run a great old fashioned Reagan style government, she can make the immigrants all legal like Reagan did, and she can put everyone to work. We need to bring everyone out of the shadows and we need to make everyone legal, and we need to build our high speed trains, and new freight rail, etc. And as the Chinese rise then the workers can become consumers and they can buy orange juice from California, etc, we need to expand trade with China as the workers can afford to buy more goods. And I like the Chinese, and they helped to build our original railroads. Anyhow, the best Republican might be Condoleezza Rice.

The New York Times lectures employees on what their jobs are.
An employer setting the rules and ethical responsibilities for employees in the performance of their jobs? Heaven forfend!

AFAICT this whole tempest in a teapot arose from an opinion piece in the grey lady which defended JK Rowling.  Who spoke freely on the notion that eliminating biological women as a social class would not be good for feminist goals like women's rights, especially reproductive rights.  Calm rational dialog on such topics seem to be impossible now.  Biological women will henceforth be called "people who menstruate."
Guess you are not keeping up.

You suck at guessing.  Better stick to copy/pasting.
Lol
Jesus!

You cannot even read.

The Rowling piece, and the debate as to whether it was "ill-timed," and as to whether or not the Times should compromise basic journalism principles to make certain groups happy, was widely covered.  I read the story in NPR, and my spouse saw it here....

What's odd to me is that this is a case where you and I might somewhat agree on the relevant principles of journalism and freedom to air controversial views.  It's sad, and mystifying, that you choose not to engage with the real substance of this debate,  offering your own words.  I like what Matt Yglesias said....

The open letters from the whining woke Times staff members was Wednesday.
The JK Rowling editorial was a day later.(Thursday)
Facts.
My post quoted The Times management.
I added
Kudos to the Times for standing up for Journalism.

We can put the homeless people to work building dams and aguaducts, etc. We have a lot of people who are migrating to the desert, and we need water for the farmers, and for the people. We can put the homeless people, and the immigrants, etc, to work helping to create water systems to supply our people with plentiful water.

California has 1,500 dams, and we have aguaducts, etc, but we need more, and we can work to help everyone who needs water from the Colorado River. Plus Texas needs more dams, and lakes, and aguaducts. And Arizona needs water, and New Mexico, etc. Along with water issues in Nevada, etc. We need to put people to work to solve our water issues.

My no1 radio host, now retired, taught his audience how to solve water problems in one's country...
..."pipe water from where it is, to where it is not".
In this case it would be called "Watering America".

So, two weeks after the derailment FEMA WILL be at the toxic mess in East Palestine, Ohio.

Biden and PeteyBoy are not coming but guess who is?
Donald Trump is not blind to the political spotlight that will shine on him as he crashes what should have been the first responsibility of a sitting President.

Oh, and those downed balloons?

Biden is done sending out search parties to locate  the  flimsy debris of toys.

God, what a total clusterfuck this administration has become.

Red has embraced the common conservative shit the bed and blame your imaginary friend strategy.

It has kept Reds mother from ever getting him to clean his room. Why should it not work in politics?

The United States employed the homeless to build Hoover Dam during the Great Depression, it was a project to create jobs for desperate people, and back then there was nothing out there in Nevada, they built Hoover Dam from 1931-1936, but they were planning to have water for a huge city, plus in order to have more water for Los Angeles, etc.

Then in 1946 Bugsy Siegel built the Flamingo casino, which attracted the masses to Las Vegas. The Italians ran gambling ships off of the coast of Santa Monica during the Great Depression, people could go out to sea and they could go to gambling barges and they could party and gamble. So, there was already an attraction for Americans with gambling. And the Cowboys always played poker, and roulette, etc. The casino in Las Vegas was a huge success, and Hoover Dam created Lake Mead to supply everyone with water as Las Vegas grew into a World Class City.

Today Las Vegas is home to 650,000 people, and Vegas is the fastest growing city in America. The dam that the desperate people built during the Great Depression went on to serve America in great ways.

We can plan ahead as we develop America, and we can put the homeless and the desperate people to work building dams, and building aguaducts, and building high speed trains, etc.

And we need to build a high speed train between Anaheim and Las Vegas to connect Vegas with Disney for our tourists. Both Vegas and Anaheim depend on Tourism, and our tourists would love to have a high speed train between Anaheim and Vegas.

During the Great Depression when the whole world was suffering, the people of California were partying and gambling on beautiful Italian American owned gambling ships. You can gamble as long as you are three miles out to sea, they were three miles off of the coast of Santa Monica.

The same people who owned the gambling ships helped to build Las Vegas and contributed to the success of Las Vegas.
