Bambu, Australia is the number one sustainable tourist destination, and I think that the Quantas planes need to be loaded with Bourbon from Kentucky to send to the Bars in Australia, many people believe that Kentucky makes the best Bourbon in the world, so if there is empty space on a plane or on a ship then they need to send Bourbon from Kentucky to Australia. Then the Bourbon companies of Kentucky can donate Libraries, and Schools, and Hospitals, etc. The Monks can run Bourbon companies in Kentucky to raise money to help the poor people of Kentucky. And remember to watch the movie "Cocktail" with Tom Cruise to see the best way to run a Bar.

And I recommend that you listen to what Condoleezza Rice has to say, she teaches at Stanford and her brain is very sharp.

Salute,

Tony V.

lol

I'll be voting "NO"...as anyone with even 1/8 of their brain working, who wants to help First Nation/Aboriginal People should be doing.

Albo's YES campaign is ...well, "crazy".
All it will do is further divide the nation, cause hatred, bankrupt and ruin the country.

The good news...the country will last long enough for me.
I'll be gone before it all turns to mush.

Here is the full list of the top 10 most sustainable cities in the world.

    Melbourne, Australia
    Madrid, Spain
    Seville, Spain
    Stockholm, Sweden
    Tallinn, Estonia
    Toronto, Canada
    Palma De Mallorca, Spain
    Las Vegas, USA
    Lisbon, Portugal
    Munich, Germany

------------

We need to send Kentucky Bourbon to the top sustainable tourist destinations, and we can send them wine from California, and we can send them the best food to serve to their tourists, etc.

Las Vegas, Nevada, is the only city in the USA in the top 10.

Salute,

Tony V.

Las Vegas... sustainable.

Our fore-fathers who built the USA were geniuses. We built dams in strategic areas, including creating jobs by building dams during the Great Depression, and we have man-made lakes now that have had 100 years to grow. We have Hoover Dam, and Theodore Roosevelt Dam, and other great dams, so we are getting power and water thanks to the dams. The water is also allowing farmers to grow food all year long in Arizona and in Nevada, etc, Arizona is supplying Chicago, Detroit, New York, Cincinnati, Saint Louis, etc, etc, etc, with fresh Winter Vegetables now.

Americans are befitting from dams that we built 100 years ago during the Great Depression with Public Works Projects, etc.

Because of Hoover Dam, then Las Vegas is a sustainable tourist destination. Everyone is benefiting from the Public Works Projects from 100 years ago.

Salute,

Tony V.

You have not visited Lake Mead lately, have you.

We have had a lot of rain, and all of the lakes are full. Lake Mead is full. And Lake Theodore Roosevelt is huge now, and that is where they are getting the water for the fresh Winter Vegetables, etc, they built the dam 100 years ago and they let the lake grow. We have dams that were built in strategic locations 100 years ago and so now we have these wonderful lakes to provide water to grow food, etc, and to provide water to cities, etc.

Now we have solar power, and wind power, so that people do not need to depend on the dams for electricity and the dams can be used for drinking water and for showers and lawns, etc, and for farming. As Vegas grows they can depend more on solar and wind, which are plentiful in the desert, and save the lake water for drinking, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Lake Mead is not full. And the water it accumulate does not make Vegas anything like sustainable at its current growth.

The fact that farms in that watershed keep drilling deeper into a depleting aquifer (the aquifer is the real measure of any longterm water usage balance) is further evidence of what ecologists have been pointing out for a century.  Deserts are not sustainable for large human populations.  It's fairly sure that buying desalinated seawater from Cali next door will eventually be necessary.  Hopefully from solar-powered plants.

Steinbeck, writing in the forties, (one of my favorite US authors) noted how wet years in the West would induce temporary amnesia about the drought part of the cycle.  He talks about it a fair bit in his masterpiece East of Eden.
Vegas will need a clever Samuel Hamilton (a character based on Steinbeck's own grandfather, of the same name)

Las Vegas... sustainable.

Spit take of the week so far.
