George W. Bush gave a lot of money to Churches and to Charities to help the homeless and to help the poor and the hungry.

https://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/10/politics/bush-urges-more-money-for-religious-charities.html

And the best way that we can help the people from Iran in Los Angeles is to show them the love and charity of the Lord, it is good when people experience the charity and love of Christ. The Calvary Chapel can help the Persians of Los Angeles, etc, and the Catholics can help the Persians, etc. And we need to remember the wonderful people from the Philippines as we work to help our homeless, there are wonderful people who come from the Philippines to the USA and they spend their whole lives doing charity work and helping the homeless and the poor.

We also need to help our homeless people to make a connection with the United Farm Workers, and with the Teamsters, etc, to find jobs when they are able. And we need to connect the poor with the Small Business Administration to open their own Business when they are able, and I hope they can create jobs and opportunities for the poor. As people rise then they can help other people to rise.

Salute,

Tony V.

Someone needs to bring back the "Weekly Reader" magazine for children. When I was a child we received the Weekly Reader in school and it told us News that children would be interested in, such as news about the Space Shuttle, etc, and the Weekly Reader also had a section where children could order and buy books, etc, it was great.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weekly_Reader

Select Graphics and Printing in Garden Grove could print the magazine.

Maybe Disney or someone could produce it, and they can have advertising, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

Who, Tony?

If you mean Shrub, I am pretty sure his individual charitable donations were not why he was mocked.

Peace Corps

Today marks 62 years since President John F. Kennedy signed the Peace Corps Act, officially establishing the federal agency.

Since then, more than 240,000 Volunteers have served in 144 countries around the world. We've worked with thousands of partners and even through a global pandemic, we've persevered. Our partners, staff, and Volunteers have continued to support communities and in the last year, we've resumed projects in 57 countries and counting.

Now more than ever, our commitment to world peace and friendship is vital. We are thankful to all who have supported our mission and goals.

#PeaceCorps

-----------

Blessed are the peacemakers.

Salute,

Tony V.

Well, obviously it is not meant to be taken literally, it refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

Some ladies from Jalisco, Mexico, were on KTLA Channel 5 News inviting Americans to come tour Jalisco. Jalisco looks like a nice area, and we need to send Youth For Christ, and other Christian groups, from the USA to Jalisco, to spread the love of Christ, and to win Jalisco over for Jesus.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jalisco

I have a restaurant in my neighborhood that specializes in food from the Guadalajara region, and I had an apartment manager from Guadalajara. And Jalisco also has the Tequila region, and Puerto Vallarta.

We need to work together as a team with Mexico to reduce crime and to improve the economy and conditions.

Mexico is also building new trains all over Mexico, etc, which will be nice.

Salute,

I missed that - I was listening to the prophet talking about wicker v rattan, or was it raffia.

Helpful discussion of section 3, from legal expert Ruth Marcus.

Pretty good analysis of a couple of the reasons why the attempts to use the 14th Amendment are not going to work. The idea that the 14th somehow excludes the two highest offices is unlikely to fly for anyone who pays attention to origin intent which in other contexts would include conservative judges, though they have shown a marked willingness to disregard that type of principle when it is politically inconvenient, and the idea it needs congressional action is not even the most troublesome issue 9n how the provision gets enforced. I think applying the provision to someone who has never been convicted of a criminal offense that could be described as insurrection is highly problematical, and there are a whole lot of other issues, like standing or political questions that will likely lead to a.court noping out without even thinking of the merits. Diverting Trumpian attention and resources for amusement is about the only reason to try it.

I note RedDick's benefit since he has trouble understanding the concept that none of those reasons have anything to do with due process.
