Ezekiel Elliott has COVID-19, along with other teammates and some Houston Texans.

Someone violated HIPAA.

Jerry Jones?

His agent, from the sounds of it.

I'm not a Newton fan, although when he was healthy he gave the Pats headaches.

maybe its a Stidham motivator.

Separately being reported Pats fined $1.1m and lose 3rd rounder for Bengal gate.

Dumb fucks.

Will Boston embrace a black QB?

any QB following the GOAT is not in an enviable position.

But if Newton can still play and play hard, he'll have no problem

I'm assuming Boston fans will treat Newton as well as Philly fans treated Richie Allen.

Gee, there's a fair comparison. Likely Boston is about 50 years behind Philly.

Then there's Yankee fans. Ask Delino DeShields, JR.

Utley and Boston Sports radio lucked out

there is no real sports news anywhere

so Boston Sports radio for better or worse (and Felger trolls his audience something fierce with hot takes and he admits it) has something of interest to talk about

The Pats sign a former MVP to replace a former MVP, so questions of fit and culture Newton or Stidham are naturals to discuss, as any sports fan might.

Its fair game

But for a troll its just material to mine

SSDD

You wonder if other (read "not black") QBs would get this kind of scrutiny, if they had signed with the Pats.

Here's another one exploring the question of whether he can handle to vaunted  "Patriot Way".

Gee, you must have missed the lengthy discussion of Jason Stidham in the Boston and NE sports media and about whether he can handle things.

He got less attention about his injuries, though, to be fair.

click-bait there's almost literally nothing to talk about

if you go to the Ringer NFL front page there are 10 articles or podcasts devoted to Newton to the Pats.

https://www.theringer.com/nfl

And race is discussed because its a raging front page issue now and Boston unfortunately has a past with a few idiot racists.

So do other cities but those cities are less visible and less successful than the Boston teams in general,

So its a good target, its get attention, and it attracts trolls who have little else to talk about.

In any case, as to real substance, rather than Utleyesque value-free BS

Most observers think BB got a steal with his 1-yr signing of Newton.

and as posted here numerous times BB is probsably the NFL's best known value investor. He looks for depressed assets at below book value prices.

Sometimes he hits sometimes not.

I suspect if Newton's healthy he'll bust his ass to become the player he once was. As he's playing for next big contract.

But he'll still have the challenge of following the GOAT-never an easy task for anyone, black or white. .

And he's got to win over a veteran the locker-room that knows about winning with his ability and leadership

I was not not big on his theatrics, the Superman BS, and celebrating 1st downs, but if he plays hard he'll make a lot of friends in NE.

But if he backs away from a loose ball on the ground he'll catch heat, and righly so, and race will have nothing to do with it.
