Maybe it's just time to fire the QB.

IMO its time for Cam to sit and use the Pats last 3-games (against their AFC rivals) to see what Stidham can or can't do against teams the Pat play 6X every year.

I don't think Stid is the answer, but this is a good low-cost window to find out.

We'll get over Cam one day.

some sooner than others

Maybe we can trade Cam for Wentz!

Kid I told you before the season started that I thought the Pats were a 8 or 9 win team at best when the wins #  was 9.5 wins.

and i told you why I thought they were a 8-8 team and I put in on the offense and the lack of quality position players. along with my concerms about Newton.

and if the Pats win out (unlikely) they'll reach my ceiling of 9 wins

You on the other hand thought Newton would make Jules a star and bet a large premium on the over.

You need them to win out.

It was documented

8.5-9

I picked OVER for 8.5 and over for 9 before COVID Cam and the Edelman injury

You had under 8.5 and obviously also would be under 9.

You had under 8.5 and obviously also would be under 9.

What was documented was you told this board when  the Pats win # was 9.5 (it went from 8.5 to 9.5 on the Newton signing) you would buy down the # to 8,5 and play the over.

As I recall to get 8.5 when the # was 9.5, the required wager was around -160 and not the usual -110 to win 100.

so you paid a $50 premium to bet a lower over.

You need the Pats to win out, or you're out another $160.

I told it was a bad bet.

Good luck

You did well

Know your team

I look forward to your thoughts on who the new QB should be/where Pats should go in draft

I haven't watched much college football this year so outside of Trevor Lawrence I really don;t know who's who.

I'll watch the conference chapionships and some bowl games for mostly entertainment and get some idea of players.

The Pats have a lot of needs beyond QB.

If the Jets snag Lawrence and he sees himself as a Joisey guy, it will be interesting what they do with Darnold.

i don't think Woody Johnson & Johnson can get his hands on enough Band-Aids to stop the bleeding if they pass on Lawrence.

They will get killed by local and national media and their fans if they trade out of #1 pick (Lawrence).

if the Jets go winless and Lawrence comes out, they'll take him and trade Darnold.

I'm confident that very few teams trade out of a pick that could yield them a generational QB, and from what I've seen over the past 2-3 years, Lawrence is that guy.

The downside for fucking this up is too great for a franchise as mocked as the JETS are.

And I'll watch the conference championships and the bowl games to get some flavor, There have been very few games so far this year that has grabbed my attention. I like inter-conference games and there were basically none this year, and most of the good games are usually end of year. So I haven't missed much.

YMMV

But rest assured I've watched more games than tOSU has played.

heh
