I suspect he was going to have a hard time attracting free agents or keeping his own when they were free to move, Kid, based on things like his kicking the kicker.

Can't build a team if people don't want to play for you and you are bad-mouthing your own chosen assistant coaches all the time.

Besides, if he is good enough he will get signed. Christ, Damon Arnette just signed with the Dolphims and he is on tape threatening to kill someone. The only inexcusable crime for the NFL is kneeling.

Owners want to

Not be embarrassed by their coaches.
