Senator Harris for asking that question?

What makes it a shameful question, in your opinion? That Judge Kavanaugh might have watched pornography? That he might have watched it with another judge? Or that he was asked about it?

Kavanaugh didn't seem encumbered by shame when it came to investigating Clinton.   Sounds to me like Ms Harris is just bringing a little karma to the picnic.
More likely a false equivalency.

Harris is finding out whether or not Kavanaugh will perjure himself or admit to being a pimp and procurer for Judge Kozinski. There is nothing more disgusting in politics or more republican than Kavanaugh. It’s important we are loudly and often reminded that when the bastards stealing the country hear or say “judge” that they are thinking “pimp”.

The GOP is the party of grand theft, sexual abuse, and botched hurricane responses. Be sure to tell all your friends.

Yes.

That's my question, Red.

I want to find out why Kiid is so outraged at the question.

Uh...Kozinski had an email list through which he distributed sexually explicit material.  Its part of the reason he was forced from the bench, in addition to, of course, the 15 women who accused him of sexual harassment.

I think it would be unfair to try and smear Kavanaugh with Kozinski's abhorrent behavior if there was no evidence that he knew of it and/or participated in it.  It would be a significant issue if he did.

Hence, the questioning.

Do you not understand the difference between "watching pornography" in private and receiving it willingly from a judge for whom you are working who later had to retire due to sexual misconduct at the workplace?

Of course.  But understandably, you prefer to ask the irrelevant question.

I called your question irrelevant, explained why, and directed you to how you could make your question relevant to the discussion if you want to retry it.

If your response above means you now need extra guidance, I'll just rewrite it for you:

What if he did watch pornography sent to him by the judge he clerked for who was later forced from the bench for sexual misconduct, after claiming under questioning by the Senate that he only knew of said misconduct when it became public?

Want to try answering that one, REDSTATEWARD, or will you keep trying to misdirect the conversation?

Nothing wrong, in your opinion, because you don't think sending porn and lewd jokes to people you work with is sexual misconduct in the workplace, or because you think there is nothing wrong with Kavanaugh lying about that to Congress?

So, Mr. Dodgy McEvasive, what would be your answers?

What is your opinion of Mr. Kavanaugh's workplace ethic, if it is true that he was shown porn by his boss or knew of his boss showing porn to other clerks, or knew of other sexual misconduct?  In the words of Hawaii Sen. Hirono:

"I’d like to know what kind of awareness did Judge Kavanaugh have about Judge Kozinski’s behavior, which spread over years."

No, don't evade.  Answer:  is Hirono's question reasonable (or Sen. Harris's, which is similar)?  What would it mean, if Kavanaugh was not truthful about his knowledge of Kozinski's behavior?  How would that impact his qualifications to hold an office of high trust and impeccable character?  (nobody gives a shit if he was watching his own porn, privately, so don't try to chase that red herring)

Yes, they are my questions.  Which is why I am asking YOU to answer them.

If you are trying to say they don't reflect on your response, then offer your own explanation.  I get it, conversations with people can be hard, so once again I'll start you off:

"There would be nothing wrong with it because..."

After we explained it to them, I think both REDSTATEWARD and kiidcarter8 now understand why questions re: Kavanaugh's potential response to Kozinki's conduct (and when he knew of that conduct) are relevant.

But because they started this conversation arguing that they are not relevant, they will never admit it.

After a Needed Adjustment, and a squirt of Oil, the dialogue machinery is still stuck.
