https://www.cbsnews.com/news/maxine-waters-charged-with-three-ethics-violations/

Awwww.....

You can bring yourself to point out an 8.5 year old ethics issue involving a Democrat, but cannot manage even a passing moment of concern for a White House administration with ongoing violation of ethics and morals wrt children of legal asylum seekers.

Pretty sure they are following the current law of the land.

I know you are.

It required a real willful ignorance to be sure, as you are.

A judge ordered an accounting and ordered the children to be reunited with their families.

You know, "law of the land?"

The administration failed to fully disclose the numbers, then failed to reunite said children.

So, no, not following the law of the land.
-----------

The children were not unaccompanied, but were put in with those who were.

Not the law of the land.

The parents they were taken from were asylum seekers. The children should not have been taken and should not have been kept past 20 days.

Not the law of the land.

The administration intentionally failed to keep records of where they put which kids.

Not the law of the land.

The administration lied to Congress more than once, claiming the separation of children from parents was not policy, when it was clearly proven to be policy.

Not the law of the land.

But Kiiid?

Slavery was the law of the land.

Forcing your wife to have sex even if she did not want to was the law of the land.

Taking land from the natives was law of the land.

Taking the children from Native Americans and from enslaved Negroes forever was law of the land.

Mandatory sterilization of women in prison was law of the land.

Conducting radiation tests on our soldiers was law of the land.

Preventing Blacks and Whites from marrying was law of the land.

Falling back on "law of the land" as your defense of administration practices is pretty week, regardless.

But as it happens, the administration broke the law repeatedly when it came to this situation that you are valiantly defending.

You are an amoral hypocrite.

And apparently Luee wishes to be counted in your number. So be it, Luee - you and Kiiid deserve each other.

It turns out that there is human trafficking going on at our southern border:

https://mavenroundtable.io/theintellectualist/news/migrant-children-are-being-given-to-an-adoption-agency-linked-to-betsy-devos-9j_wI0EkdEuS55b6qnzwsA/

It's by the combination of our Border Patrol, INS, and Betsy DeVos's adoption agency.

"law of the land."

Amazing how many do not know that illegal immigration is a crime. Chuck and Nancee and the liberal elite parade the pictures of crying babies and make it seem that America is obligated to be a human dump for third world countries. Pontificate with some Emma L. from the 19th century when the US needed miners and cheap manuals. Slander the efforts of ICE and the Border patrol, the last of the heroes. Please no more m13 body dumps and El Chapo drug cartel. No more ESL in our schools. Social programs that are stretched to the maximum. A barrier to stop the horde is required.

Where was/is the MeToo brigade?

https://www.whimn.com.au/play/unwind/if-ines-was-a-man-her-abusive-behaviour-would-not-be-shown-on-prime-time/news-story/687cc0a218c4e43f73efe9fb6e373ed3

If Ines Was A Man, Her Abusive Behaviour Would Not Be Shown On Prime Time

It's not OK.

Let me take you on a little journey.

A man and a woman go out on a date together.

He tells the woman: “I just need you to shut the f**k up right now. I need you to shut up.” The woman, looking shocked, does indeed shut up.
About five minutes later, the man begins to clear his throat in an anxious way. The woman, trying to soothe his nerves, attempts to speak again. “When I tell you to shut the f**k up, I mean SHUT THE F**K UP!” the man shrieks at her.

He’s spitting when he yells, a vein bulging in his neck. He’s leaning forward, getting right in the woman’s face, summoning up every ounce of physical presence to intimidate and ridicule.

“Grow a f**king ballsack!” he spits, and that’s where our little exercise ends, because it wasn’t, in fact, a man screaming abuse at a woman, but a woman screaming abuse at a man.

Last night’s episode of MAFS showed Ines, our troubled, troubling and hard-to-want bride, screaming profanities at her stoic groom, Bronson, as they hurtled out to the open ocean for a date.

Bronson, looking as though he’d rather try his luck with the reef sharks than spend another minute trapped on the boat with Ines, visibly tries to shrink his body into the side of the boat - a fruitless exercise, given his body is literally the size of the boat.

In spite of the vast size difference between the two, Bronson looks intimidated, as well he should, given that what he is experiencing is abuse.

#####

Not a word from the MeToo lot or any other hardline, or softline for that matter, feminist group.
It's just shown on tv as part of the program, as if it's all ok.
Nothing happened because it was a man being abused by a woman.
And therein lies the double standard in society today.

If this is any indication, no wonder in Australia, men account for 75 per cent of deaths by suicide.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkGQ3nyWvII

At last night's 'commitment ceremony', the couples had to sit on the sofa and tell how their marriages were travelling..and then write "stay" or "leave" on a note pad. For them to be able to leave the program both have to write 'leave'.

She the " SHUT THE F**K UP!” shrieker said her husband only says two things... [probably because she's always talking, some of the women should just stop throwing tantrums, sit still for '5 minutes', stop moving and waving their arms around, stop speaking, calm down, and say nothing. They'd be more appealing]...criticised him [profanity included] immensely and voted to 'leave'.
He said she was ok sometimes, but not at other times...and criticised her.
He the abused then voted to 'stay'...which means she's stuck with him for another week!  LOL ...and has to 'work on their marriage' with the help of the experts at the show.
She was seriously angry...and told the other women that if they weren't happy with their husbands to give them to her.
Men everywhere should thank him for not cowering in the corner, beaten down.

American climate change warriors should revisit Kevin Rudd’s time as prime minister

“Always patch test first on an inconspicuous area,” warns the label on most containers of fabric stain remover. This is good advice, and not just for those who don’t want to ruin their clothes.

It is also a wise move for politicians who may wish to avoid destroying their entire country.

Democrat child senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts museum-piece Ed Markey last week presented their resolution for a Green New Deal, which is possibly the least sane assembly of proposals ever to emerge from the US capital.

Among other things, the Green New Deal calls for upgrading or replacing every building in the US — from New York’s Empire State to Eugene’s Hot Chicken in Birmingham, Alabama — for “state of the art energy efficiency”.

New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sheds a tear during a press conference calling on Congress to cut funding for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Picture: AFP

These included decommissioning all US nuclear plants, adding high-speed rail lines “at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary”, replacing “every combustion-engine vehicle”, and, of course, the nationwide destruction or retrofitting of more than 120 million buildings.

Perhaps it would be prudent to first patch-test these ideas on an inconspicuous area.
Like, say, the block where Ocasio-Cortez lives.

Or, even easier, perhaps US Democrats could look to Australia.
Ten years ago a federal Labor government attempted to put in place a miniature version of the Green New Deal. So we’ve been down that road before.
Or, rather, we’ve been in that roof.

Then-prime minister Kevin Rudd and his treasurer Wayne Swan announced the Energy Efficient Homes Package in 2009.

“To support jobs and set Australia up for a low-carbon future, the Rudd government will install free ceiling insulation in around 2.7 million Australian homes,” a press release from Swan’s office declared.

“For a time-limited period of two and a half years, from 1 July 2009, owner-occupiers without ceiling insulation will be eligible for free product and installation (capped at $1600) simply by making a phone call.”

There were only 250 registered insulation installation businesses in Australia when the package was announced. That number quickly blew out to 7000, because the government was handing out free money to installers. Pizza boys could pick up more in one insulation job than from a year’s worth of tips.

They received their rebates directly from the government rather than from homeowners, who therefore had no incentive at all to check if the work had been done well or even done at all. Some ceilings ended up with a mere handful of insulation batts thrown around. Others featured only shredded paper.

Naturally, just about every insulation job went right up to the $1600 cap, regardless of size or ceiling area. The government’s pizza boy insulation army worked at frantic speed, eager to cash in while they could.

When the difference between five jobs done reasonably well and eight jobs done in careless haste is $4800, a short amount of time represents one hell of a lot of money.

And that’s when the deaths began.

Four young men were killed while installing insulation under the government’s program, three due to electrocution and one from hypothermia during the Australian summer.
Dozens more workers, few of them with experience, suffered injuries and heat stroke.

Nearly 100 houses were set on fire. A program intended to combat global warming was instead causing intense and highly localised heating. Environment Minister Peter Garrett, whose hits as Midnight Oil’s lead singer included 1987’s Beds Are Burning, subsequently announced the planned deregistration or suspension of 5000 installers.

Those suspensions were never required. In February 2010, one year after the Energy Efficient Homes Package was introduced, it was completely abandoned.

Patch-test first on an inconspicuous area, kids. Works for clothes. Works for ruinous climate change policies, too.

Josh knows Trump wants more funding for detention centers to house entire families.  Just doesn't factor into his posts.

Trump continuing what Obama was doing.

https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/white-house/article213525764.html

No numbers on children separated from their parents under Obama is available because the Obama administration didn’t keep them, according to Trump DHS officials.

so, are there numbers for child border crossing. month to month - up to present day?  I would think it is decreasing.

Tony, this is a chat forum, so it's the custom to post links to longer essays and such.  Have you considered getting a free blog (several web hosts provide free space), which you could link us to?  Screen dumps like the above aren't a great fit when people are chatting.  JMO.

Ahhhhhhshaddapppp

Good stuff, Tony

Two funny things, I notice:

You seem unwilling or unable to respond to my post directly below that one, which took issue with your comment on venom.  My guess is that you, on reading the list of Trump insults i linked, were embarrassed to discover you couldn't disagree.

Second, when you see a long post you suspect you disagree with, you aren't so supportive.  And it's often clear you didn't read it.
