Antelope Valley College has a great Theatre Program, and I studied acting there for a couple of years, it is not to the extent of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, but one of my teachers was Gary Bolen, and we studied Stanislavski, and Meisner, and Uta Hagen, etc. And AVC had a lot of wonderful teachers on a lot of subjects, I was hungry to learn and it was a great school.

I studied acting, and writing, and business, and psychology, and film, it was a great school. And I studied Euclidean Geometry that was taught by a magician from the Magic Castle in Hollywood, Mr Thompson, it was great. You get out of it what you put in, Abraham Lincoln educated himself because he was hungry to learn and so he read books. I was lucky to have books, plus I had great teachers.

I loved my time at Antelope Valley College.

In my first acting class were were supposed to do something private on stage as though we were the only one in the room. I brought in a shaving stand and I shaved in class in front of the other students, and I did it as though I was alone at home. It was a good exercise. But, then here is when it got fun, the person to do a scene after me was a professional cheer leader for the Raiders and she played the song "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC and she did a strip tease and changed clothes in front of us as though she was dancing and changing clothes at home in her room, it was beautiful, and I was hooked as an acting student. I had some great classes and great teachers.

My History Teacher teaches at Columbia University in New York now, and my Film Teacher teaches in Missouri at a University there.

Gary Bolen was in a movie with Liv Tyler who is Steven Tyler's daughter. "Empire Records." Gary is a great teacher. He was born and raised here in Orange County and worked at Disneyland when he was young.

I still recommend the AADA after AVC, it will be good for the Youth to travel to New York to study. There is Broadway, and Ballet, and the Metropolitan Opera, and the Russian Tea Room, and Little Italy, and China Town, and I am sure New York is great. I will go explore New York eventually. The students are lucky to still have the AADA in New York.

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood at the Charlie Chaplin Studio is closing down, they were previously in Pasadena, and they also have a campus in New York City, the AADA is the oldest professional acting school in the world, and this is so sad that they are closing in Hollywood, the actors will have to go to New York City now to train.

Of note, Newsom lowered taxes for producers so the entertainment industry jobs will be coming back to Hollywood, and we have USC film school, and Chapman film school where the actors can do student films etc. There is a lot in Hollywood for actors and it will get better. Sad to see the AADA leave.

I guess the American Academy of Dramatic Arts is closing down on the West Coast, and now actors will have to go to the AADA in New York to train.

It is sad, and I feel like things are going to get better here in California for filmmakers, as Newsom just lowered taxes for producers, so more films and television shows will be made here.

New York has Broadway, but California has film and television. A lot of work was going to Canada, and to Atlanta, Georgia, etc, but now that Newsom lowered taxes then the entertainment industry jobs will be coming back to California. The future is bright for entertainment industry jobs in California.

Plus California has USC film school, and Chapman film school, where actors can make student films. But, New York has NYU, and NYU makes student films too.

Sad that the AADA West is closing down, the actors will have to go to New York now to train.

If you need a California connection in New York, then I attended community college with a guy named Scott who owns Crazy Otto's restaurant in Manhattan, their specialty is Biscuits and Gravy, and they have been in Manhattan long enough to be connected now. That is my only connection in New York. I worked at a casino in Nevada, and I had a waitress who her Mother was the Vice President of the Bank of New York, but that was a long time ago. I do not have very many connections in New York. And when I worked for Suzanne Pleshette at Empire West in West Hollywood then we had a lot of people from New York.

I am sure the AADA is well connected in New York, and they will help the people from California to get established there.

I thought I saw Paul Stanley of Kiss at the Mexican Market, and now I bet it was him. I made a new discovery. I was traveling to the doctor on the bus, and I was hungry for a Big Mac, and they used to have a McDonald's at La Palma and Beach, so after my appointment I got off the bus at La Palma and Beach to go to McDonald's. When I got over to where McDonald's was then I found that McDonald's is gone now, I am sad to see McDonald's is gone there now. But, next to where McDonald's used to be there is now a Rock and Brews restaurant, which I never knew was there. I guess it opened in 2015. Rock and Brews is owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss. So, that is awesome, Paul and Gene own a restaurant about 5 miles from where I live. So that was probably really Paul Stanley at the Mexican Market.

Kiss was my favorite band as a child, and I worked all day as a child washing dogs for my Grandmother who was a dog groomer to buy Love Gun on 8 Track, that was what I did with my money, I owned every Kiss album on 8 Track tapes from washing dogs, and from washing cars, and from mowing lawns, etc.

It is awesome that Paul and Gene own a restaurant down the street. That is a hard location because they have the Claim Jumper there which has great steaks, but Rock and Brews has Paul and Gene, I bet Rock and Brews is great. I want to go to Rock and Brews, maybe I will go for my Birthday in November. ( That area is by Knott's Berry Farm, and it is nice, and they are investing a lot of money into Beach Blvd and into that area, they want to make it a lot nicer in that area. )

So, that is cool.

Stormy is actually very beautiful, Trump certainly has good taste in women. Stormy is like the Lady In Red bringing down John Dillinger, Trump is every bit a gangster, Trump even shook down our allies for protection money when he was president.

And do not fly on Boeing planes, instead fly on the French planes. Then in the future Lockheed can build new faster and quieter planes in the Antelope Valley, like the Concordes only faster and quieter. Lockheed is working on new planes at NASA at Edwards right now, they can build the planes of the future in the Antelope Valley.

Anaheim is being blessed right now, and maybe God is blessing Anaheim because God knows I live here. It is just all about keeping the faith, and staying close with the Lord. God has given me miracles, and impossible things have happened. It will be fun to see what will happen in the future. And then when I get old I will have good stories to tell.

My Grandfather was in his 80s and he had a lot of stories, and so we sat around the Benjamin Franklin Stove  and we drank coffee, and we smoked cigarettes, and Grandpa told stories until bedtime. That is how the Cowboys live out in Nevada, they sit around and tell each other stories.

The economy is fantastic in Anaheim now, Disney is investing $2 Billion in Disneyland, and Newsom lowered taxes for producers so there will be more work in the entertainment industry here. And the new Star Wars will be made here in Hollywood, etc. Lots of good things are happening. God is blessing Anaheim.

It would be nice if Shakira could sing the song "In The Ghetto" by Elvis Presley and then donate the money from the song to clean up the ghettos in Chicago, and in Saint Louis, and in Los Angeles, and in Detroit, and in New York, etc, it would be nice if they could put a nice new fresh coat of paint on the ghettos, and if they could build libraries, and coffee shops, etc, in the ghettos, and fountains, and cobblestones, and trees, etc, etc, etc. And Wellness Centers, etc.

Today Dr Charles Stanley talked about how Christ is an encourager, and so too should we encourage others. When we see someone struggling and doing good it is nice to encourage them. And it is nice to compliment people. And always for sure at least give people on the street a nice smile.

Here is a show business story...

One time I went to an acting workshop at Take One Studios in Beverly Hills, and the workshop was on my Birthday one year, and Julie Hutchinson did the workshop, at that time she was head of casting for 20th Century Fox, and then later she was head of casting for Universal Pictures, and now she is retired. But, she was huge at that time, she started on Off Broadway in New York, then she did Broadway, and then she came to Hollywood, and she was at the top of casting at Fox at that time.

So, Julie broke us all up into groups of 2 to do scene work, and there was an odd number of people, so she said that she would be my scene partner and that she would work with me, she said she was a trained actress before she got into casting, and so I worked with her.

We did a scene from "A Life Less Ordinary" where she was my willing kidnap victim, and it was awesome, it felt great, she loved it, it was nice. She told me I was going to be huge. It was a great day. And she gave me encouragement that really helped.

I kept going, and kept trying, because of nice encouragement, and sometimes it is about the journey and not the destination, and we never know what the future holds. But, if we can make the present better by being kind and by being encouraging to someone, then it is nice to be kind and encouraging.

Sam Rubin of the KTLA Channel 5 News died yesterday, he did the entertainment news, and he covered the Oscars, etc. He also did the news for Australia.

Channel 5 was owned by Gene Autry, who also owned the Angels, and he used to show the Angel games on Channel 5. They also had the Twilight Zone at Midnight, they had great programming.

It is sad about Sam Rubin dying, he was still young.

Michael Jackson had vitalgo.

Yes, he made the ailment famous.

My Mother met Michael Jackson here in Hollywood, she worked for a company named Applied Entertainment, and Sequoia Creative, and they made King Kong for Universal Studios, and they made the Conan the Barbarian set at Universal, etc, and they built the stage set for Michael Jackson for his world tour, and Michael used to come to her work and he used to watch the progress of his stage set and he would give them his input, etc, she said he was a nice guy, she liked him, she said he was kind and down to earth. It is too bad that he had so many problems.

They have a new cream out for Vitalego, which is white spots on the skin, I have suffered from it since I was a teen, it is harmless but looks bad and may scare the women away as they may think it is something dirty and dangerous, it is great they have a cure for it now so that the teens of today do not have to experience the negative aspect that I experienced. It is too late to help me, but it can help the teens of today. For me it is not bad, and it does not bother me anymore.

And I hate all of the crime, and we all have to own guns in America, luckily Anaheim is nice, but it is still dangerous, and the trains are dangerous, etc. Sometimes I think it would be nice just to go live on an island in Greece where they have zero crime, and I tried to move to Rome where they are all good Catholics. Malibu is nice, but you need gates, and cameras, and dogs, and a gun, etc. And Spielberg has Body Guards here in Santa Monica. Brando bought an island in Tahiti, but I like Greece better, and I would go live like Aristotle, I could read, and study, and teach, and write, and make films, etc, Rome has Cinecitta, etc. And I went to Cannes, and Cannes is nice, I would not mind living in Cannes, and I could make movies at the Victorine studios in Nice, France. I am completely repelled by crime and violence at this point in my life, I do not even like the new stupid movies where they just fight and kill people for 2 hours, there is no entertainment in watching violence. I would rather watch a good Romance, or a good comedy, and if there is violence then it must be a good movie like "Spartacus" and "Braveheart" and "Patton," and "Once Upon a Time in America, " etc. Anyhow I am impressed more by kindness and good deeds at this point in life, and there is no thrill in violence at this point. And at the end, there is Leisure World in Laguna Beach where people retire to die, they drink champagne and eat strawberries by the swimming pool, and they have great food, and they ride horses on the beach at night, it is where the rich people go to die.

And we need to invest more money into the Peace Corps. And I support Kiwanis, and the United Nations, and UNICEF, and Pope Francis, etc.

The Boy Scouts of America is no longer, it is now just Scouts of America. Sad. I was a Cub Scout and it was all about doing good things, and our pledge was to do our duty for God and our Country. I was a Cub Scout in Jefferson, Oregon, as a child, and we picked up trash in a rain storm one day and then when we came back soaken wet the Girl Scouts made us hot chocolate. The Cub Scouts was great, I wish we could preserve it for the youth of the future. Now it is just "Scouts of America."

Meanwhile, at least Disney is doing great, and Disney is going to invest $2 Billion here in Anaheim, so that is good.

I got thrown out of Cub Scouts after the den mothers son smashed my model sailboat project and punched me in my mouth after I complained. So I punched him more than several times.

Yes, violence is sometimes the only way.
'Self defence' you could've claimed.

Yes, those who are incompetent resort to nepotism and violence to get ahead and to do what they want, and especially for love, and money.

There is a scene in the movie "High Society" where Grace Kelly plays with a model boat in the swimming pool, and the name of the model boat is "The True Love." Love is worth fighting for.

And in the book "The Fear of Success" he talks about how people will try to oppress you with nepotism and thugs, and about how you will have to resort to physical violence on your way to the top. And even Spielberg has Body Guards, it is dangerous at the top. At Universal we had our own police department.

On the issue of children, I support having better supervision for the youth. They can have Boxing, and Martial Arts, but they cannot have Race Wars and Bullies, etc. And we need to teach the youth how to prevent a Race War. Just like Elvis and Chuck Berry and Little Richard, Rock and Roll is an American Art.

I support having a Meritocracy where we all rise by our hard work and merits. But, I do not support playground violence, before you know it the kids will be carrying knives and guns and they will have gangs and the children will all be killing each other. I support Father Boyle and Homeboy Industries, and I support peace in our neighborhoods. And we have Disney, we are rich.

Creative Writing / Re: Creative Writing

Writing movie scripts is a hard gig, it took 3 years from the time when I put out a call for scripts to having a completed script, and even at that point the project is only halfway done, I still need to make the movie, and then distribute it, etc.

Or sell it and let someone else make it, like the guy did when he let Spielberg make "Amistad," he sold his script to Spielberg and he used the money to open 5 McDonald's restaurants in South Africa and he hired his family members to work at this restaurants. So, that is what a good script is worth, 5 McDonald's restaurants in South Africa. I would be happy with a nice night club in Rome, Italy, and maybe invest in a winery.

We will see what happens. The film and television industry is coming back to Hollywood now that Newsom is lowering taxes for producers, so that is cool.

Then I will publish my poetry book as well, I might become huge like Maya Angelou, Maya was so poor that she was a prostitute when she was young, and Maya rose to the top and became friends with President Obama and the Elite in the world, she became wealthy and world famous and she had a great life, all from poetry.

My movie might be huge like "Pulp Fiction" and my poetry book might be huge like Maya Angelou, but I just need to keep going in order to find out. If I give up now and quit then I will never know, and I will never be rewarded by my hard work if I quit now. I have to get my movie made and my book published if I ever want to be rewarded for the hard work that went into creating my script and my poetry book.

Permit valuations totaled nearly $27.32 million for 2024 so far, compared with $11.55 million in the comparable 2023 period, according to the April report from the city of Elko Building.

--------

Battle Mountain has the best deal on land in the USA at $1,000 per acre, but for those who wish to study then the college is in Elko, and Elko is growing at twice the pace of last year.

As Elko grows then they can bring in fun architects from Greece, etc, and they need lots of libraries, and tennis courts, and swimming pools, etc.

The college in Elko is the Great Basin College, and I went there one day just to look at it when I was in the area, I drove up and looked at the college, and then I went to a casino named the Commercial to have lunch, they have a giant stuffed polar bear at the Commercial, it is pretty cool, and I won $25 on a slot machine so that paid for lunch.

And Elko has the Cowboy Poetry Festival.

https://www.nationalcowboypoetrygathering.org/

Elko is a good spot with a good college, and the land is cheap.
