A six strikes and you're out bill would get my vote.  Time to dump Kev and consider Hakeem as a unifier.

Patty Murray is currently second in line of succession to POTUS btw.  Not too shabby.

That would presume the Republicans give a shit about governing.

Fair point.  And it's unlikely five Repubs are going to jump ship, no matter how rat-infested the ship os.

I think Chip Roy's speech nominating Byron Donalds was a masterpiece of condescension.

On par with nominating Herschel Walker because Black guy

Cori Bush just went to the head of the line labeled Proudly A Racist!

White folks call Black people racists when said Black person shines a spotlight on them and it burns.

From the failing NY Times..

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/04/business/dealbook/tesla-bulls-challenges.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

Mr. Musk himself has blamed the Feds aggressive interest rate rises for the sinking share price. But Tesla investors including Ross Gerber, a co-founder of Gerber Kawasaki, think he is too distracted by the travails of running Twitter to focus on righting the ship at Tesla.

Following Tuesdays  stock price drop, a nostalgic Mr. Musk tweeted, 12 months ago, I was Person of the Year.
Mr. Gerber responded, easy come, easy go

All you need to show me is TESLA sales "slumping badly" in 2022.  All you need to do is show 2021 sales and 2022 sales.  I'll even let you define "slumping badly" at that point.  It sounds like it'll be pretty easy for you.
And it was

Tesla in October lowered its 2022  growth expectations  from its goal of increasing sales  annually by 50%. It would need to sell a record-setting 495,000 cars in the fourth quarter to achieve that growth rate for the year. Instead it got  410,000
Tesla stock took a hit of 65% in 2022.
Today it declined 12%.

If Tesla can not sell EVs at a growing rate no one can.

Stock is tanking because Musk is acting the ass with Twitter

I don't see the word "sales" or "slumping" in the language you've quoted. In reality TESLA sales increased greatly in 2022 albeit by as much as either TESLA or Wall Street predicted.

In any event, though, you still appear to believe that Teslas are the only EVs.
It is the only EV  manufacturer with full service in  a superior car.
But, as noted, sales of ALL EVs are slumping and the industry has been totally oversold
Electric cars may have a market in certain geographic areas but any idea they will replace gas driven vehicles is a foolish prediction.

Go curry comb your horse

Elon Musk Fires Twitter Janitors, Reportedly Forcing Staff To Bring Own Toilet Paper

Musk to buy Disney

One of the wild prognostications heard this week re:  new year
Well, since he lost 200 BILLION dollars last year, he may not have the money for that.
Of more concern to Musk is the increasing doubt over EVs ever totally replacing gasoline powered vehicles.
The severe winter underscored a lot of problems, notably the obvious grid problems and how we could possibly expect to power ALL cars with electricity we are not capable of producing. Add to that the tremendous built in inefficiency of an affordable nationwide charging system.  Also of note: EVs lose up to half of their mileage capacities in harsh winter temperatures.(and the full capacities are meager by American travel standards)
It is most likely Tesla will dominate the EV market, but we will need other technologies to ever totally replace gasoline driven vehicles.

Putin wears a neck tie.
Who wants to be like Putin.

Ban neck ties!

At least men [and women] should stop wearing them.

Neck ties are the most useless pieces of *clothing* every invented.

More independents needed?  Makes a case for it.

Tutu optional.

Sure. Just buy more Senators with the same money from the billionaire donor class. Independents goes to the highest bidders.
