I have been seeing photos from the UNICEF camps for refugees around the world, it is horrible, they have tents as far as the eye can see and none of those people can take care of themselves, they are all depending on other people for aid. They cannot even feed themselves.

My advice for the Muslims is to go to Abu Dhabi, and to Dubai, and get a job as an essential worker there, they can support families, and they can have a life. It is better than living at a refugee camp.

For the Christians, they can come help to grow food in the USA, they can grow mustard in Montana, and they can raise pork and beef in Nevada, and they can grow oranges and avocados in California, and they can make wine, etc. In Hollywood the immigrants can live with 10 people in a one bedroom apartment and they can all work at In N Out Burger while they take Acting classes, etc. In Hollywood it is all about serving the tourists, food, sunglasses, theme parks, etc. And meanwhile California has great schools, the immigrants can study while they work serving the tourists. We also need nurses, psychiatrists, and doctors.

Acapulco is a good spot for the refugees too, and Elvis made a movie there. Acapulco is a nice spot, people need to just protect it and make it nice again.

I don't know what plays you're looking at, but you're wrong.

The picture you linked ended up with Mays safe, after initially being called out.

Corrales let go of the ball because he was knocked out.

I was at the Mays game, He was never called safe. The writer got it wrong.

MDPI is noted for their less than rigorous standards and is considered by some to be a predatory set of journals, recruiting papers and then charging the authors a hefty sum to publish them once accepted.

Another of their papers: "An Exploratory Study of Tweets about the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant: Insights from Sentiment Analysis, Language Interpretation, Source Tracking, Type Classification, and Embedded URL Detection"\\\

And in 2016, MDPI journal Behavioral Sciences published a review paper that claimed that watching pornography is a cause of erectile dysfunction.

My favorite line from the paper cited by Ward was this one:
Due to the vast amount of relevant literature, we found it unfeasible to perform a systematic review of the existing literature.

Here's a line from another of the lead author's papers:
" The widespread introduction of regulations that obviously facilitate electoral fraud on the pretext of "facilitating" the turnout of very small extra groups of voters jeopardizes the certainty of the outcome of the choice made by all other voters. Mass postal voting with an unprecedented low percentage of rejected ballots, voting without identification cards, ballots collected by unofficial collectors - these and other novelties are now proposed to be established as a federal standard."

I am also stunned by the suggestion that the authors were using the 1918-1920 flu for analysis of isolation effectiveness.

The data on the handling of the 1918 flu is famously lacking because of the combination of an absence of national health mechanisms and the drive to keep secret the degree to which individual nations were impacted by the flu because of the war. With such a paucity of data, trying to extrapolate what methods were used when we didn't even know what viruses are is asinine, at best.

Given that the Russian author is apparently writing to a purpose, it is no wonder he reaches so far for his "estimate" of the effectiveness of lockdowns. His numbers don't work and the data does not align with the conclusion.

Astros have home field advantage now, Yankees fans.

Phils with the lopsided win in Cincy last night led by Kyle Gibson's 11 K's and the team's 18 hit attack. Rhys Hoskins had 2 homers and 5 rbis. Hoskins now has a season total of 26 homers. He is only the fourth MLB player with four seasons of 26 or more homers since 2018. The others are Judge, Goldschmidt, and teammate Kyle Schwarber.

Schwarber remains out of the lineup with that calf strain. Calf injuries are tough to heal from, so that could be a big deal going into September.


One final note, the Phils finally reached the 10,000 win level. The last team to do so of those who were around in the 19th century.

Florida has a maturity standard for abortion

Florida, of all places, assessing the maturity of others.  According to state law, the 16 year old woman is supposed to consult with her parents regarding an abortion. But...she has no parents. So, the state acted in loco parentis, saying she wasn't mature enough to have an abortion. So, she's mature enough to have the baby, but not mature enough to decide not to have the baby.

Got that?

If you think that makes no sense, maybe you're not mature enough to understand Florida.

Or maybe you support a form of institutional slavery as that state of Florida has claimed women's vaginas as its own.
