LOL!!!! I’ve got plenty of money, I can pay for my own protection. Why should I pay for anybody else’s? Socialism!!!! LOL!!!!
Do you ever think about things? LOL!!!!
Shockingly enough, there are many types of libertarianism.
And some of them are opposed to community police and fire departments. We have counties in the US where you have the choice to pay or not pay for fire department coverage and if you don't, they will come out to protect your neighbors and stand around to watch yours burn.
So, yes, police and fire are considered socialism or at least statism by a good number of people.
Statism --> a political system in which the state has substantial centralized control over social and economic affairs.
Socialism --> a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, Distribution, And exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
The only difference here is the word "Community". In real application, The Community must defer to either a Government (the State) or The Church (any religion). Even with people voting, And having an impact. The fact there is a government pushing forward === statism. Sure, Maybe in an application of socialism through a Church is techinically not statism. . . However, In countries where the Church is the state. . Its still statism.
