No need for GOP obstruction... we've got moderate Democrats.

Personally I miss the days when Kirsten Sinema protested the Iraq War in a pink tutu.

A little trip back to 1891.   An interesting lesson from history -- Henry Cabot Lodge's voting rights bill, which failed to pass....

Back when "scrote" was not a rhyme for "vote."

You want to win elections?

Give your constituents what they need and WANT.

56-44 country. 51-49 possibly only if you factor in pro republican gerrymandering.

Republicans are decomposing rapidly, so it looks like it will be 58-42 by the time the 2022 races have been called.

Copies of beloved children’s author’ Dr. Seuss most popular books were virtually flying out of Amazon and Barnes and Noble’s warehouses, with his works making up nine out of the top 10 bestsellers on both companies' lists as of Thursday evening.

Maybe before all the copies are snapped up by collectors, as Dems are trying to help America recover from covid and 4 years of an inept and corrupt Trump presidency by proposing legislation favored by the cast majority of Americans, Sen. Jerk-off Johnson (R-Q, Wi) as part of his filibuster to halt the recovery, can read some Dr Seuss prose into the Congressional record.
That is Ted Cruz's shtick.

HEH

only if I factor in gerrymandering?

that and voter suppression are the 1st and 2nd down go to plays for Repubs.

lies and deception are the typical 3rd down play

and insurrection is their Hail Mary.

I try to take into account gerrymandering when I do my math.

Biden has to get to '22 with a healthy America working and happy, and hold Congress if possible because the GQP-SOBs are going to sabotage this country if they can to retake power.

My hope is we can get to 55-45 Dems by '22 and then score again in '24

But if Moderates, bolstered by the media in their misguided efforts to be "bi-partisan," insist on letting the GOP (who have NO desire to bargain in good faith), string out the process and prolong the pain and suffering the Democrats will catch the blame form the majority of stupid white people who insist on voting GOP no matter how many times they get fucked.

Just like what happened in the 2010 midterms.

Perhaps a Conservative party could be 49% popular hypothetically.

The Republican Party, now solely a vehicle for defending racism, corporate mass murder, and collecting bribes has a much lower ceiling.

Dems wasting time and energy negotiating with themselves in order to get a couple of Republican votes which will still leave them short of the necessary ten.

Fuck it.

Go for the gusto.

The Republican Party has exploited racial fear and resentment for decades. Policies are in place that actively harm people of color and marginalized communities, yet the social safety nets that would benefit everyone, including rural, low-wage white voters, are derided as a free ride for undeserving moochers and takers.

The food supply chain is not designed to do anything more than provide cheap, processed foods stuffed with corn syrup, sugar and salt for a diet that is literally killing people who must then scuffle for health coverage to pay for dependency on pharmaceuticals to offset the effects of poor nutrition and unending stress.
