I was born and raised in the desert so we always had clean air, but back when I was young whenever we would go to Los Angeles International Airport, etc, then the air was dirty, and the smog burned my eyes and hurt my lungs, it was bad. Now, because of new rules we have been able to clean the air up, and the air in Los Angeles no longer burns my eyes nor does it hurt my lungs anymore. We have made a lot of progress.
I also love seafood, and we need to stop polluting so that we can eat the seafood, the mercury from the coal is ruining the seafood, etc.
And in China the poor people can barely breathe, they need to stop polluting in China, they need to clean their act up. And as solar and wind and hydro become more affordable then they can all go with clean energy.
I also support saving the Rain Forests. And re-planting forests where they have all been cut down. We need to all plant trees. And in California we have Sunkist and they make money from the fruit of the trees, everyone wins.
When I lived in Cape Canaveral, Florida, back when I was 12 years old, with the Space Shuttle Program, at the Wind Jammer Condominiums, then the ocean was hot way back then, it was great to swim in the hot ocean at night. For a 12 year old kid that was paradise, and we had beautiful women, and rockets, and the Space Shuttle, it was all great for a 12 year old kid. The ocean was hot in Florida way back in 1978-1979. They said the ocean was hot from the Jet Stream going through hot locations.
I support clean air, regardless of whether the pollution is causing global warming or not. Even if you do not believe that global warming is caused by man, then I know for a fact that the smog that I had to breathe in Los Angeles as a child was horrible, and I know that the mercury is ruining the seafood, so I support having clean air to breathe, and I support being able to have seafood to eat. Going green is good for everyone, even if you do not believe that global warming is caused by man.
Salute,
Tony V.
