Biden seemed focused and really on top of foreign policy last night in his press conference.  His decades of expertise showed, something we really needed to see right now.   I didnt see any Parkinson hand tremors (it would help if they would provide him a glass of water at these appearances - being able to see him lift a glass would provide further confirmation).  He also said he would accept having a neuro exam, if his team of doctors recommended it.  A couple name flubs which, as Lime noted, would be typical of any Biden from the last couple-three decades.

I think the question remains more can he beat Trump, and media driven public perceptions, than can he be a statesman and craftsman of policy.  FFS, just get the neuro test.

President Biden has gained 3 or 4 points against trump since the debate and the whole drop out brouhaha, pulling into a small but growing lead in the national polls.

Once the republicans hold their celebration of rape culture sung by the whiny entitlement chorus in Milwaukee, that lead will grow to a number comfortably outside the margin of error. Republicans will start talking about shooting trump on fifth Avenue to save their campaign.

Every day the Dems spend tearing their wailing, tearing their shirts, beating their breasts and gnashing their teeth about Joe Bidens age is a day they are not beating the living shit out of Donald Trump..

Team trump has adopted the Lizz Truss less than a lettuce tax plan. It is probably time to start locking republicans up for their own safety and to maintain public order.

So, can the Party replace President Biden with another candidate before the election?
ie: tap him on the shoulder and say..."We've had a meeting and the vote was that we replace you with another candidate for President in November."

or

Does President Biden have to resign from office of his own accord before the election to be replaced with another candidate?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sky News told us the answer tonite.
He was elected President by the People and is not subject to anything the majority of the Party might want.
He can dig his heels in and stay in the race....contest the election.
You seem confused on the difference between staying in office and staying in the race. He does not have to resign to drop out of the race, and his being elected President has nothing to do with the ability to remove him as a candidate. Party rules do. He won all of the delegates in the primaries and caucii and by party rules they are bound to vote for him in the convention unless he releases them. And there is no mechanism to force him to release delegates.

It would actually be easier to remove him from the Presidency. There is a Constitutional process for that, at least for a temporary removal.

Thanks for that.

Jesus.
We needed to see him introduce President Putin?
Vice President Trump?
He did not even know he is the Commander in Chief?

But the elephant in the room is not his age  it is his leftist policies that only Bernie, Pochahontas, and the squad can love.
You have to be totally off course as a leader in America to get a 37 per cent approval ranking.
Joe and his record have earned it.

Joe and his record have earned it.

Record job growth, wage growth and now falling inflation can only mean one thing.

Four more terms for President Biden and his all American agenda.

ROFL!

Joe Biden introduced Obama as Barack America in 2008

Joe Biden is the same guy he has been for more than forty years! Gaffes, malaprops and screwing up names is nothing new for Uncle Joe.

His leftist policies are pretty fucking popular even if at the moment, Biden is not

A new Marist poll asked:

Which is more concerning in a president, someone who does not tell the truth, or someone who might be too old to serve? The results were lopsided: By 68 to 32 percent, respondents were more concerned about the lying than the aging.

After two weeks of being pounded by the LIBRUL Media in the wake of the debate debacle one would think it is all over for Biden but the crying, but Nnnnoooooo!

The spotlight now turns to Donald Trump and his preference to be electrocuted by the batteries of a sinking EBoat rather than be eaten by sharks and the GOP authoritarian manifesto Project 2025. Yeah, the voters are gonna love that.

People are picking up what you are putting down, Larry. Word is getting around and the contrast between candidates is very stark.

Susan Collins will not be voting for trump. Waiting for more of her colleagues to similarly affirm their citizenship and commitment to uphold their oaths.

Biden and Bernie. ( together forever)
Four years ago the dems picked Biden and moved him past Bernie lest the socialists get their nominee
Now in 2024 Bernie endorses Biden to move the party even further left. ( raise the federal minimum wage, erase ALL medical debt, etc)

And Biden takes the Bernie cue.

The two deserve each other for being stupid.
Now I see why YankGuy picked Trump to win.

[/quoteI have the best of both worlds.
Biden cannot win with a socialist agenda.
And my vote is not needed to send him packing.

Biden cannot win with a socialist agenda.

Biden progressive package is quite similar to what he offered in 2020.  When he won.

I do not think he can win again, but this is owing to reasons other than his policy positions on subsidizing renewable energy or reducing medical debt or having the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.  Making healthcare less profit-centered has been something a lot of Americans support for quite some time.   Biden is not taking a cue from Bernie or AOC - he already believes in such progressive goals.
