As we rise from this cirisis...
We need union wage scales, and prevailing wages, and we need for the money to go to the workers instead of going to the government. The workers need to earn enough money to buy a home and raise a family. Right now many workers are living in their cars.
And we need fair trade with China. And we can benefit from using tariffs in order to get fair trade.
China needs to buy from the USA, China needs to buy oranges from California and from Florida, and potatoes from Idaho, and beef from Texas and from Nevada, and cheese from California, and Harley Davidson motorcycles, and Bourbon whiskey from Kentucky, and California wine, and avocados from California, etc. The Chinese need to buy American products.
We should not punish American companies with high taxes, and we need to demand fair trade with China. Meanwhile we can make sure the wages go up for workers via union wage scales and prevailing wage lists.
We also need to send union representatives to our Southern Border to tell our new immigrants where the good union jobs are, the farm workers are lucky and we have the United Farm Workers union, and we have other great unions, the Teamsters, and others, and we need to send the union reps to our Southern Border.
